It would be interesting to see a follow-up interview when she is officially retired. If her mentality changes. Because it's easy to fool yourself into being happy for awhile, but when you let yourself reflect later that may not be the case. I'm not saying this girl does or would have regrets, because I don't know her. But she wouldn't be the first to trick herself into a false sense of fulfillment.

I think this kind of job can be rewarding at first when they're still young but I don't think she could have a career to support her for the rest of her life. Even if she invested the money later on and started her own business people would probably say "the owner used to be a pornstar" and hurt her business... I've never seen a more toxic comment section ever, it probably has to do with Nobitas strong conservative views drawing in strong (idiotic and judgemental) christians - but that's just speculation.

Archmage Vengard To be honest, I'm one of those "strong Christians". However, not everyone believes what I do and I respect the choices of others, so long as they are not actively hurting other people. I don't like what this woman is doing with her life, I don't think it's healthy for her, but I know I could be totally wrong. So I choose not to attack her based on what I THINK. All I can do is hope she is happy and if not that she finds happiness. There are absolutely people who us their religion as a club and you can see it in the comments. And as a christian I think that is more wrong than anything this girl has ever done. Because, again, what she is doing doesn't actively hurt anyone else. What these "Christians" in the comments are doing is judging someone based on one aspect of their life. It's unlikely, but she could be reading those comments. Who know what that level of hate could do to her? To me that falls under "hurting other people". I refuse to us my beliefs to make myself feel like a good person. That's what most of them are doing and it's sick. It's wrong. All this to say, I hope you don't see all Christians to be the people in these comments. I'm a devout Christian, I believe everything in the Bible when it comes to what one should and shouldn't do. But I haven't lived this girls life, and I refuse to be her judge and jury. There are a few of us out there :)

Rebecca Arnold - I obviously know there are good Christians, I was referring specifically to the ones that are attacking her in the comments. Constructive criticism, something that helps. It's perfectly fine and respectable to lay out your views in order to help a person out, what I don't like is people insulting other people, that doesn't help one bit. I may not be a Christian, as I don't believe in a higher power, but I do follow their teachings, as I found them to be the best guide.

In my on perspective, I actually felt that she maybe have a bit of regret or something else I don't know either actually but when She was asked that it would be oki for her if her child would be a pornstar too, then she replied that "I would be worried for her" and that being said I feel sad about her.. Asia is more liberal when it come to sex, as in it is a lot more tolerating. In the west due to Christian value sex is see as this big evil thing, in Asia, not so much, as long as you are not hurting anybody, nobody really think you are evil. I mean most Asian girls are more sexually conservative compare to western girl, so they are less likely to feel comfortable going into porn, but, for those who goes into it, we don't see anything bad about it. It is also better, because in the west the adult industry is usually control by gangsters, where in Asia, especially Japan, there are usually not a gangster influence in it and is more of a legitimate business subject to the same work place ethic law, just like any other industry.

This was a very interesting interview, you rarely get to hear what people in the industry actually think and feel, I was surprised to hear her perspective and outlook on her job, I know many people might not trust that she `s being honest here, but she genuinely seems happy with what she does, so all power to her, she seems like a great person (:

Well she seems not so much happy as satisfied in the job. But did you notice several times she indicated that she has no social interaction with co-workers outside the workplace. Interviewer didn't ask how commercial sex acting impacted her physical and emotional relationships when she was dating? Nor did interviewer ask why she quit for a period and what drove her back to porn acting?

As I stated in another comment; I believe pornstars are the modern day equivalent to prostitutes (where prostitutes are illegal) but with better and safer working conditions. A lot of the wealthier/popular prostitutes and courtesans in the old days lived pretty good and lavish lives which is comparable with how the wealthier/popular pornstars live. I believe their need for attention is based on voyeurism, narcissism and high sex drive. It's bad that young teenage girls are being scouted though since a lot of the time they have no idea what they want, most likely haven't worked a normal job yet and don't know much of the world so are easy targets for manipulation.

Just to point out, I've watched a ton of docs on the adult film industry over the years and I've noticed that the overwhelming majority of the of workers date within the industry; it's a small subset of the population that's actually interested in the work and willing to pull the trigger, plus the rest of society judges them or would want their partner exclusively to themselves so it makes quite lot of sense.

The "being fulfilled without a boyfriend" is a recurring topic here. It seems that marriage (contractual agreement) is more important than "having a loving relationship". I also found that a lot of married couples do not necessarily expect a loving relationship after marriage and often completely drop dating and even sleep in different beds/futon. Would love a video analysing this in the future 😁

I live in Japan. Most family here is broken. They live together but no sex. The husband will have a mistress or will pay woman which is quite large industry here even if it’s illegal.
