A theory I have on Jax is that maybe he was only 15 when he entered the circus so maybe he uses the personality he had when he was 15 as a sort of comfort or coping mechanism to keep himself from abstracting, after all, he is confirmed to be 22 and actually younger than the rest of the main cast so maybe he thinks if he acts like a jerk all the time he won’t go crazy.

in 3:04 you can see jax's face soften for a SPLIT SECOND. which probably means he cared for kaufmo but wanted to keep a tough guy act.

This was from another video but the reason why (just a theory) that jax didint attend kaufmos funeral is because we can see he softens his expression to a sad face for a split second and that he had a nickname for Kaufmo in ep 1 so maybe they were very close and he didint want the others to know that he could cry so he went to his room to cry and so the others couldn’t see him cry

But Jax has an age, 22 and goose said he deserves to be on digital circus more than anyone 🖤🖤🖤

I have a theory… Maybe when Jax was younger, his father was like Jax himself… always wanting violence or not caring about his friends or family. What if we say that Jax’s father didn’t care about Jax, leading him to act like his own Dad and trying to accomplish his father to notice him. Not forgetting everything except his name in the past, he still wants to attract attention to others that his parent didn’t give him. Another thing. Let’s not forget that the fact that his Dad was still acting crazy. Perhaps his mom left him because of that issue. I want to take that theory further that Jax did so knowingly and hacked some cheat codes into his clone self so that he could dig up info and secrets from the circus members, and send the data to his IRL self so that he could blackmail their real-life counterparts.

Okay so... I may have a few Jax theory's. & some are based from my personal experiences in life so far. #1, Depression/Uncontrollable Mood's? - Maybe part pf how/why Jax acts the way he does is because he may be depressed or something similar to that & he does what he does because it's a natural reaction? I'm not sur if it's making sense, but some people feel anger & negativity when around others, especially others they find just the slightest bit annoying, & takes it out on them uncontrollably. & because of this, he knows it would be a bit odd to suddenly seem like he cares when he wants to, so he keeps his daily masquerade rolling every day. & when he's not around those who he'd previously messes with he goes off to isolate himself feeling upset soon after his anger fades away. #2, Multiple Masks/Two Faced - Jax may just have different personas towards certain people who he isn't close with & he uncontrollably acts the way he does without any second thought of/about his actions & words around/towards others. #3, Anti-Social?/Fear of emotions? - Maybe Jax doesn't want to be close to anyone because he knows that even in the circus, they can technically die by going abstract & being put away to their doom, technically "buried 6 feet under". & he doesn't want to feel the emotional pain by losing those whom he cares about, so he doesn't try to get close to others, because he doesn't want to go abstract by having ones, he cares about going abstract, never to see each other again. Therefore, he makes others suffer to be sure his presence isn't enjoyed by others. #4, Greif - Since Jax seemed to have cared about Caufmo's "death"/abstraction, maybe it's a clue for how he doesn't like being friendly or nice to others. Caufmo & Jax could've been friends before Caufy's abstraction had happened, & Jax's (Pilot Jax's) calm & collected rude & mischievous persona became more chaotic & violent because of Caufmo's abstraction, meaning that Jax is going through a rough time grieving Caufmo's death. #5 Forced - What if Caine's actually a bad guy, or just doesn't know how to deal with people abstracting a bunch he could've forced/made Jax be the @$$hole he is in order to keep everyone on their toes & make abstracting a bit less likely due to the fact that Jax is both entertaining himself, & keeping people somewhat 'sane' while being aware of Jax, making them be able to focus on tasks to do when Caine's thinking/making/after their finished a new adventure, so they have something to do on their free time instead of trying to focus on the exit while they can so they can keep themselves from abstracting quickly. Maybe Caine had a deal with Jax which is to ask him just that, & in return Jax wanted keys to members rooms in return so he could do the pranks he wanted whenever & Caine agreed to it in case they stay in their rooms or by themselves like Zooble has done or attempted to do in the episodes released. Or Jax is just stealing the keys from him. BUT witch Caines "Hundreds of all seeing eyes" he let Jax take them & keep them without a word, until he possibly sees Jax trying to find an exist with a possible key lock with it, only to end up taking them from Jax's hold. I think these are all I have. (I know these seem pretty far feched but nothing is what it seems in the Digital Curcus! :)) PLEASE USE THESE- I SPENT ATLEAST AROUNF 30 MINUTES OR MORE DOING THIS- T^T

!!SPOILERS TO EPISODE 2 OF TADC!! I feel like Jax acts like a jerk as a form of escapism. He knows he's trapped inside a video game and there's no way out so he's trying to play it off so he won't abstract. Also, 6:15 if he was an NPC, he would've been erased from the game like how gummigoo was in episode 2. Caine confirmed that he needs to keep humans and NPC's separate otherwise he won't know who's who. I think they're all losing their minds and are just using different ways to cope. Like, jax might act a jerk bcs of that, or Ragatha may be trying to make everyone comfortable because she herself is losing her mind etc. I don't know though, that's just my thoughts, there could be many reasons why everyones acting the way they are in the show.
