Pusha T is from Virginia. That concert was strictly artists from the west coast. It's why a Rick Ross and The Weeknd didn't perform even though they were in attendance at the show. One is from Florida and the other one is from Toronto

Loveeee Alex! But he was loud & wrong about the Pusha T debate. Yes, Pusha and Kendrick both “revealed a kid”. BOTH reveals shook up the fans/listeners! Meet The Graham’s was a bigger impact overall because of 1. Timing (right after family matters) and 2. Cadence of the song (spooky). Story of Addidon was a great song but didnt have the MUSICAL shock like MTG and that does not in anyway disqualify the song or reveal of the kid. People slept on the Pusha/Drake battle because Push isnt as commercial as Kendrick but Pusha stilllll delivered and got the job done. And now, the Pusha & Drake battle is aging very well because its still being talked about today with a lot of relevant references.

The reason why Kendrick can say the same thing about Drake after Pusha T and why it hit way harder this time with Kendrick is simple to explain. When a second person has the same thing to say about a person its way more impactful. It's like getting a second opinion from a doctor. Now you have two people telling you the same thing. Same reason why Diddy after the Cassie lawsuit still could salvage his image. But then a Lill Rod files a lawsuit against Diddy and says the same things about Diddy as Cassie did. The guys had GREAT points about the battle...battling isn't about true or false info, not about the best song it's about rapping and crowd response It sounds callous but the big punches kdot landed had less to do with any daughter or pdf allegations involving OVO camp what were the knockout punches? 1. OVO has a mole feeding direct info to Kendrick...he laid that out in euphoria, referred back in 616 and PROVED it by the timing and subject of meet the grahams 2. Drake is a guest in hip hop unlike Dot...this was proven too many times to count during the battle, clear example? shouting out LA artists hoping they'd side with a Canadian over Dot Drake could've still won but he was overconfident and tried landing his own punch (Whitney & Dave Free allegations; supposed fallout with TDE) instead of countering the *actual* danger To Regi's question, Kendrick out rapped Drake. If Drake could rap that well than he would've won, simple. Removing all bias i care more about the genre than either individual artist. People keep saying Dot just used better strategy but they ignore the performance, partly cause they don't even understand the culture and nuance Dot hated his opponent more, delivered more memorable jokes and each of his punches had a way bigger impact (short term & long term).

Aside from that: there is a difference between “I do not want to have a partner who flirts with other people” and “my partner must not flirt with other people (or else I will shame them publicly)”. The former is a boundary and completely healthy, the latter is a rule enforced by intimidation.
