Planning a trip to Zambia? You should NOT skip the capital, Lusaka!
In my opinion, Lusaka may well be the most underrated city trip in Africa: whether it’s culture and history, the bustling nightlife or the variety of café and restaurants - including the delicious traditional buffet, matebeto.
My friends and I spent a weekend (3 days) in Lusaka in October 2022. We were so happy not to have discounted the capital. So many people fly directly to Livingstone to see Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls).
Stay tuned for part 2 of my Zambia series where we’ll explore Livingstone (aka Chuma & Susi town), the mighty Zambezi River, Mosi-oa-Tunya and Devil’s Pool - all part of another epic ‪@africanbushcamps‬ adventure.

That is ubwali in Chibemba. One of the well spoken language in Zambia especially on the copper belt of Zambia. The Nyanja speaking people of Zambia call it Insima. You were right. in Kenya they call it Ugali. In Uganda. Posho. Anyway, there is a little difference in preparation of Ubwali in different countries. In Ghana they call it Banku.

Africa is so so Amazing 1. The most old desert in the world is Namibia Desert(Namibia), 2. The Largest Desert Sahara is found in Africa 2. The Longest River in the world is River Nile 3. The deepest Lake in the world is Lake Tanganyika(Tanzania) 4. The second tallest mount is Mount Kilimanjaro(Tanzania) 5. The thickest forest after Amazon is Congo Forest(Congo) 6. The Most Dangerous water-falls are found in Africa(falls of Mosi-oa-Tunya) or Victoria water-falls 6. Four African countries are joined at the Zambezi River (falls as Mosi-oa-Tunya) 7. Crater Ngorongoro is only found in Africa(Tanzania) 8. The Only Tanzanite minerals are found in Tanzania 9. The Rift-valley is mostly crossing in Africa 10. In Africa, Only Tanzania is Surrounded by three Lakes in its borders 11. In Africa, only South Africa has two countries in with in(Eswatin and Lesotho) 12. Only Red Diamonds are found in Sierra-Leone(The Cape Mountains Country) 13. You can't believe, but many movies like Mud-max furry road are recorded in Namibia Desert(Kalahari desert) 14. Most of the lands in Africa are still virgin 15. Akavango Delta abd Niger Delta are only found in Africa But what a shame with all these Unique favors from God we are ranked among the poorest continent in the world Am so blessed to be an African, born in Africa and live in Africa and Tanzania is my homeland.

I grew up Lusaka. It's underrated if you have money, or have locals to show you around. Otherwise as a whole its a very mixed bag. The urban planning is quite bad so you have nice areas side by side with squalid areas. Lusaka is probably much more livable than most African cities. But for tourism I wouldn't even rank it top 5 in our county.

@@TitaT nOT "WHICH MAINLY RUNS IN ZAMBIA". Which is in Zambia. Hence the name "Zambia" which means "of the Zambezi River. Had it not been for our first president-who loved Africa so much, we would now have had all the Falls to ourselves. But instead he gave part of Zambia to Zimbabwe and the other large part to Botswana. But we dont share the Zambezi with nobody-we own it, we originate it, and we give it to everybody else thats needs water-Otherwise we could ve have long time blocked and contained it within Zambia if we were as selfish as Zimbabweans are for them to claim that the Vic falls is theirs-where what natural perspective? The Land was all Zambians and Cecil Rhodes divided it to cause confusion amongst and D,Livingstone even made things worse by naming it Victoria falls. When you are a good person you always get taken advantage of. Zambian shouldnt have gone the route of Pan Africanism from day 1, cos look now, all our sacrifices for all these neighboring countries non of all these countries that made us to be poor untill today'because of sanctions we got for supporting them" have paid off. Last case scenario is to receive respect from the person you helped but non of that is happening, instead Zimbabwe is spitting in our face and claim the Vic falls? Do you even know what the word Zambezi means ? which is the only river that pours into the falls. Tell me what the word Yambeji(Zambezi) means - Zimbabweans?
