I’m elite and drive 12 hours a day. Although I get 6 filters you can’t drive 18 hours it will kick you off at 12 hours still…but they’re are other ways to work the system. The only real perks I’ve experienced with elite is the priority mode which gives me points towards staying elite anytime I use it not just on the schedule days and times. Lastly I get higher challenges than the other tiers but I have to drive almost double to reach the goals.

The reward system is not sustainable because both Uber and Lyft keep hiring new drivers. Market is flooded with driver. Not enough ride for everybody to maintain reward system. I find it best by just ignoring the reward system. I open both app and pick the ride with a ration of $1 per mile. I make more and its more sustainable with this system.

Here in Portland, the threshold to be platinum (for me, it might be different for other drivers) is 1,040 points. Seeing how much lower it is for other cities is tough information to digest.

So what you're saying from another angle is that drivers have flexibility if they choose between busy times that the app offers, even if the drivers have no idea how saturated their market is. Only the app knows how many drivers are in any given area at one time, so if drivers choose not to drive during those times listed, and instead, drive at some other time, the app may not give them any rides at all, therefore, no money, no points, but the app will still show them the amount of time they spend online waiting for rides, and they are guaranteed at least minimum wage under California Prop 22? You also mentioned that the app allows you to drive up to 18 hours, using the 6 area filters. Is that time frame possible in your market because you drive from 5:00 AM on one day to 5:00AM the next day? Or is that a midnight to midnight available hours to drive according to your state laws? I'm finding this confusing for me because Arizona's time zone never changes with daylight savings time, and I get a message that says I can only drive for 12 hours straight with a mandatory 6 hour break, and the time begins when I turn the app on, whether I'm getting any rides or not.

Does weekly challenges and bonuses depend on tier statuses? Just started driving Lyft three week ago and I haven’t got any weekly challenges or tubo boost hours any of that

You mentioned using your Lyft debit card as your payment method, but pertaining to that specifically, can I manually put in receipts I have? 🤔

I have tried to make money with Lyft but it’s just not going to happen. The pay is so low. The min fare here is $2.25 which is most of the trips. Uber at least is $3.57. I am quickly moving away from passengers and to the food and grocery delivery because they pay more per mile than passengers .
