Love the video! Some great questions! We will be coming out with our own back yard line in due time. Our main focus is our commercial rotisserie’s, large offsets, and Santa Maria products. As we grow, we will launch our backyard offset with our patent pending even flow system. We’re super excited to launch it, but at the moment we don’t have the means to keep up with our current demands and multiple backyard lines. We will also be filming more content in the near future showcasing our flow system and firebox designs. Stay tuned!

I personally do not like just a small circle hole inlet. Just seems that the airflow wouldn’t be as good. Or convection. I did see the brisket videos and it looks pretty good. I prefer the mill scale/franklin design. The scoop design is cool too.

M & M is making the Goldee’s design for Goldee’s, and will continue to make their own designs for themselves. That’s how it works when you fabricate both for yourself and in partnerships. Nothing weird about it at all. And just because Jirby’s design works for a 98-gallon backyard offset doesn’t mean it will work, at all or better than, the M & M dual-flow design for their 250-1000 gallon rigs. And on the other side of that, their dual-flow design make be too complicated to fabricate and stay in the price point for a backyard setup. What I will say about M & M, is that I appreciate their pioneering spirit, and willingness to question the status quo to bring us new, more efficient designs. I predict that they will continue to dominate and transform the industry in the years ahead.

The Goldee's smoker has a baffle plate in the elbow that splits the smoke/heat. Same concept as M&M but on a smaller scale due to chamber and firebox size.

Wondering if the pull from the firebox will be even on a smaller smoker. With Jerby's design it could be a good start, but to send it to the bottom part of the chamber with the same pull the pipe would have to be equal length. Otherwise heat will not escape evenly, at least that is what I would think in theory.

The Goldee’s backyard smoker is pretty cool but I’m still gonna stick with saving up for a Workhorse 1975

so what is the deal do they even sell a 250g smoker with trailer are they worth the prices?

I’m interested in the baffle design mad scientist demonstrated in his 1000 gallon offset that he gave away. Mad scientist thinks it’s the best design to manage radiant heat from the cooking chamber. See his video. Cheers!
