Yes knew you guys would come with the words of wisdom actors need to hear!! Been listening to all the debate and thinking is never been a better time to be an Actor regardless of your background. I see a lot of working class not London based Actors doing well too so those stats don't add up 🤔🙌🏾💯

Thanks so much for tuning in Caroline! I agree with you - I don't think there's EVER been a better time to be alive really - not just as an actor. We just have to focus on the opportunity and not the obstacles! Have a GREAT day! :)

You mention Spotlight is the only platform getting the big TV / Film projects, but it’s worth addressing the fact that actors do not get to see the those breakdowns, only selected agents do, so if you’re not represented, you have a lot less opportunity. Really only access to the breakdowns for short films, student films, Corporate, TIE the odd commercial etc.

Hey Lindsay - definitely keep an eye on the jobs board on Spotlight. I do see some awesome casting directors still putting out briefs for high-end TV (not just via agents). Casting directors like Des Hamilton (Top Boy) and 2 x BAFTA-winner Aisha Bywaters are 2 names I see quite regularly. You're right - some stuff will only go to agents, but you will still see TV briefs as an unwrapped actor. Thanks so much for watching! :)
