Detailed review and test of the 2024 Mazda BT-50 SP, including price, interior, technology, ride quality, off-road and more.
Mazda’s BT-50 trails some of the leading lights of the Aussie pick-up segment in the popularity stakes, so can a host of upgrades in the Pro Enhancement Pack make the Mazda more enticing to ute buyers?
As applied to our penultimate SP trim grade, the Pro Enhancement Pack wants for an extra $7668. It brings new style 18-inch wheels,12 mm wider track, appearance upgrades and a new driving light bar array.
But the key highlight of the ‘Pro’ bundle is the revised suspension, bringing 40mm taller ride height, nitrocharger dampers and revised springs, promising more off-road capability and improved ride comfort.
Do these ‘factory modifications’ elevate BT-50’s quality to the pick-up segment’s front line? Chasing Cars’ Zak Adkins finds out with this circa-$74K rig (driveaway).
