A $1-$2 Pot Limit High Low training video, made by Bart Hanson from Crush Live Poker which features Mike Postle from Stones Live Poker.
This is a free release of the most recent Crush Live O8 video from Crush Live Poker. It goes over several hands from a $1-$2 PLO8 game played in late July from Stones Live Poker. Common mistakes are revealed about the nature of big bet split pot games and Bart gives his take on whether or not he thinks that Postle can actually see the cards.

What do we think guys? Can he see the cards and just doesn’t know how to play the game?

CrushlivePoker all the signs are that he wasn’t cheating this session since he habits are very different to streams he was definitely cheating on. What was the date you played on?

Definitely not cheating here. Hat on backwards. Using left arm above the table. Has chips directly in front of him. Doesn't constantly look down to check his hole cards.(And when he does, he doesn't pull them right up to the rail) Displays none of the habits from the cheating streams.

He obviously doesnt cheat there because he doesn't look at his cell phone underneath the table. And he for sure doesn't know how to play PLO8. It's very obvious.

What is the date of this game in play? Is it around the same timeframe of when the NLH cheating at Stones started or prior? He looks chunkier, so I was thinking prior.

Joan Fisher it was 7-29-19 during the time. The point I am making here is that it’s kind of funny if he sees the cards here but doesn’t understand the game itself.

What is “big bet” O8? I’ve heard that term from you before. Is it just another way to say pot limit?
@CrushlivePoker

Its just a way of differentiating the game from limit

If Joe Ingram's research is correct, Postle was getting the live card feed to his phone, which he nestled in his crotch on his seat. The fact that he has his phone on the table in full view from about 37:00 on indicates to me he is not concerned about what's visible on his screen. No feed = NOT cheating during this session. Also leading out with a pot sized bet on 6-7-8-10 on a 4-5-9 rainbow flop multiway indicates a very poor understanding of O8 strategy to me. He comes across as an easy mark.

detalores yes that’s exactly what you should do. Unfortunately the stacks will always be different as well creating a side pot. Bart

taxi5969 usually PLO8 as a game is not sustainable. There is not enough luck and the bad players lose too fast.

CrushlivePoker back in the late 90s and early 2000s i used to play 7 card stud hi/lo (10/20 and 15/30 games usually), when they spread it at Foxwoods and had an 80% win rate (even though the game was mostly played by people over 60). Razz games were almost equally as good too They also used to spread 40/80 and 75/150 HORSE games but I didn’t have the roll for those games

Postle plays like your average online low limit o8 player. Guys that will NEVER fold even the driest nut low. If 9 people are all in they'll call and maybe even raise. It's pretty ridiculous but 98% of the low limit regulars play that way. Upside is if you can scoop 1 pot you'll triple up at a minimum. They will always pay you off.

Bart. I arrived just shortly after this hand and sat in seat #1. PLO8 is one of Mike's weakest games. This is the answer to the video title. ✌
