It's not just that his ult doesn't allow dash, it also slows mvmt spd and it's very difficult to get away from especially with his pull amd stun. He counters meta picks like melissa, joy, martis, etc so yes he's worth banning

Minsithar has a unique ulti that makes the opponents unable to dash or escape, and his 2nd skill is like really overpowered

We're literally in a meta where tanks and mobility is superior, Minsitthar being a possible tank and hp based dmg and countering high mobility heroes

his dmg output is not the cause for his frequent bans like your build in this video. it's about his ability to suppress anyone and anything in a teamfight technically his build doesnt really need the DHS, it only causes him to deal more dmg rapidly in his aoe. what he really needed is the scythe as it slows down enemies he hit, add any tanking items and a good grasp of the team fight and your team will have a good chance of winning said teamfight.

@Elgin the ulti has 2 other effects, one being that it can also activate other item effects if I remember correctly much like his 2nd skill's normal attack. But it also activates his passive which means you will get stunned inside even if Minsi doesn't hit you. Minsi is like a more flexible and group oriented Lapu and can be a pain if partnered with the correct heroes and team mate, and even if not his still a force to be reckoned with if you let him snowball. Hence his banned A LOT.

Yes Elgin, it's just you, it's mostly a nightmare when you face one even if it's not a situational pick, because of the 2nd skill, and you can't really escape when you're in his domain

His hook is the game changer. It's like Ruby's ultimate but rectangular or Alpha's ultimate but backwards.

When the meta is FILLED with dash heroes and more usually using flicker to escape or engage. Minsi’s kit is DEVASTATION for them, Phoveus is just a lower tier below minsi, one good ult on the enemy’s core for example melissa or martis jungle, he can really turn the tides. Corrosion Scythe is his ABSOLUTE CORE item.. you’ll be stunned, slowed, and can’t even dash away.. i can tell that the mains of heroes that uses a lot of dashes(like me with ruby) will hate to face him so banning him is the only option other than you or ur ally picking minsi. I mean to be fair, he was forgotten EVER SINCE his release, so this is quite deserving for him xD

The healing from its passive is the most annoying. When about to kill him he stuns heals and run away .

Elgin forgot to mention that his skill 2 and ultimate damage now includes attack effects.

As a Minsitthar Main, i can confim that we barely get to use our main

minsi doesnt just counter the meta but is also pretty strong even without countering meta. Bennyqt already showcased Minsi in high level competition.

I remember when they haven't revamped minsi. He's my go-to roam and I always wondered why nobody plays him. His hook is easier to maneuver than Franco's and his 2nd helps me survive. But then again, I'm not mythic or whatever. 😆

Atleast for me, yes my main heroes revolves around dashing heroes, I can play all role but man having no dash is a massive change in my gameplay and hero pools. Ofcourse there are heroes who doesn't need dash with high mobility but man it's annoying that he also stuns, slows you down and pull you back basically locking you down unless you have sprint

His first skill can hook multiple heroes and can now goes with flip. His second skill can block physical and magical (i think) dmg up to 50% from the front. His ult loses its bonus defense, lasts shorter and has way longer cd. I kinda like the old one for its 2nd skill quick stun more than the current one.

He was an auto ban when using tank is because of this reasons: 1. Extremely hard to deal with - considering of the fact Minsi regenerates with passive, getting crowded won't be too much of a problem, and as a tank, this would be more terrible to deal with 2. Anti dash - Minsitthar counters the dash meta, Arlott and Joy at mythic ranks are the most banned things in high rank but since Minsi counters this, he would be hell of an interruption, especially to the fact most heros are dash dependent, flicker would be completely useless as an escape against Minsi 3. Simply better than most tanks in terms of set - unlike Franco who can only focus in a single enemy at a time after pulling them, Minsitthar can simply do things better, bigger hook, can pull multiple enemies, and he can lock enemies with ulti, Minsitthar is basically Franco on steroids especially to quite fast cooldowns, Franco is already a menace with a good user, let alone Minsitthar who is way easier and better skill effects 4. Multiple roles - he can not just tank, he can also damage, heroes that are capable of doing multiple roles are often the favorite in ban list 5. Early to late game capabilities - he is fully capable of doing destruction to formations and can intimidate really well due to his team fight capabilities, he would be a completely unwanted enemy These are some of the reasons of him getting auto banned

He's often banned because an overwhelming amount of meta heroes have mobility

If you use skill 2 you can attack towers way faster and its superb for pushing

You forgot that his ult clone can trigger basic attack effects

The ult and passive with skill 2 combo makes his enemy team panic all trying to evade the stun

I main him even before he's revamp ,he is the universal flex hero, he can do all roles and gonall lanes, btw it breaks my heart watching how you use minsi haha

The dps in his phalanx stance is insane by itself so i guess it's a mix of everything being powerful along with his ult and his pull

its might a small revamp but high cc ability and wide aoe skill make it become a worst enemy for high mobility hero or hero with no skill to blink. also his ultimate will not allow some hero for using ultimate make enemy have low chance to survive team fight. make it worst his 1st skill can catch multiple hero in such distance. hero who type need to get close to team like estes will easily been catch together with his team

What makes him a high ban hero is his teamfight potential,he can turn the tide of a teamfight if you know how use him. Besides that ,you frogot one more thing about the buff in minsi ult ,his ult can also trigger atk spd effects so dhs , corrosion sythe can use their passive to do so

You can use Minsi’s second skill for turret/main tower as well I think it deals a lot more damage than his basic attacks

A good pick against Minsitthar is Esmeralda, but you'll have to build some damage on her or going for tank build adapted to work against demon hunter sword and with ice queen wand or thunder belt with purify. Actually, most heroes can work well against him if they don't have blink skills and their core items aren't tanky ones, because purify can do the rest; unfortunately, it became a forgotten spell since sprint's buff.

Glad to see the r evamp, he can basically own anyway in the Exp lane except for Arlott and Martis. The rest, even Freya, Dyrot, and Xborg are Indian food. lol

i started playing minsi in rank this season and i gotta say hes so good that my winrate are like 75% using him. i usually play him as a roamer

I severely miss his old 2nd skills shield and satisfying sound effect when it hit, now it's just press to attack which i find it's just not for me anymore

I’m Kagura main and it surprised me after his revamped Kagura can dash out from his ultimate with no problem 😂

its cause he outright prevents some skill from being used his ult completely silences atlas ult making him a hard counter to him even better than diggy since a good atlas can switch to pickoff when there is a diggy its the same situation as wanwan in the pro scene making it hard to draft when 1 slot shuts down multiple heroes hes also one of the few fighters that can use the demon trinity which is a nightmare for tanks and front line since it cuts through HP like no tomorrow you dont even need to use the demon trinity you can use only the golden staff and demon hunter sword and load him up with tank items and it would burn through frontliners like nothing

elgin forgot about one thing. grock near tower or wall cant be under cc so its mean minsittar cant hook him. attack speed misittar is crazy melting enemy like butter

Minsi has mass hook, is capable of mass stun and his area control is quite potent. But hes not OP but rather a nuisance in team fights forcing you to either target him or the enemy damagers like MMs and mages.

For me, he's best position is as a roamer. Semi-tank build, so you can still add any type of shoes if you feel he's still slow at any capacity.. 2 attack item, 3 defense item. Very suitable as an initiator to open a war. But you need to use him technically. If you good at sneaky attack, better use him to lock marksman/mage

U forgget one information about 2nd skill, u can use to deal damage to turrets too

My squad have ADC carry and we specialise in 5v5 team fight... No matter how game goes in term of gold, when 5v5 happens we always win... But with minsi in opponent it's 4v5 if someone from us got kidnap... Also he's a kind of hero you need to run away from when ulted, which is not good for our team composition... We play badang, khufra, pharsa, Natan, Lance(tank build)... If enemy atlas then we take Valentina... So our game revolves around tank setter(either khufra setup or Valentina with atlas ult) rarely badang flicker combo... Minsi is just annoying so we ban him to maintain our winstreak 😬👀

The spell is need to be right with the build example inspire its better with speed build for insane life steal or flicker for ur build half tank its great for combo like ultimate flicker or 1 skill Flicker or even petrified the best for damage attack speed will keep the enemy longer in ur ult

When you are trying to prove if he needs to be banned at least use the right spell and build thanks Also if you are using minsi you can counter yin just by using your 2nd skill on the domain facing his way, no need to buy dreadnaught armor (You can do this when you buy tough boots which is also a great counter to martis and grock's cc skills) And also because minsi is a frontline fighter I recommend to buy rose gold meteor that should minimize your chances to die on a clash

Minsi roam for me, he can do anything pretty much. Kadita is more like backline assassin but minsi is so flexible.

I love the 1st and 3rd revamped skills but the 2nd is stupid, now I don't use minishtar that much anymore because of that 2nd skill

6:10 Actually there are 3 viable playstyles for him. Burst to take out enemy squishies. (BOD, Heptaseas, endless battle, more dmg or def based on enemy team, best for exp) Juggernaut to act as a hard to kill front line that can kill tanks/most fighters and slow enemies(DHS, corrosion scythe, thunder belt, remaining tank items based on enemy team) And critical basic attack damage (scythe, berserker fury, scarlet phantom, 2 defense items to be hard to kill) for fast clear of jungle. Alot of builds kinda work and he can go many different lanes. Even gold lane funny enough. Did get mvp in low mythic in a 2 v 1 gold lane though I don't recomended.

What made him ban worthy is his ability to shut down any high mobility heroes, especially with the current meta is about everything mobile. Even though his ult range is small, the ult can slow you down, especially if Minsi is using Corrosion + Thunderbelt, and if they somehow managed to escape he can pull them back with his 1st skill. With his new passive, he can fight non mobile heroes as well, as his 1st and 2nd skill combo is enough to actually kill a dashless hero even with hybrid build.

Minsitar is the only hero that cancel even the heroes traits. So most of the player banning him are mostly relay on leap skill which he cancels.

on the matches before his revamp I played him with a burst build and my goodness he deals heavy damage, btw I don't really think that he really deserves to be that worth banning, he still have his strange weakness: his first is strange, you hit the enemies but they don't get pulled. or all of his skills can be easily dodged btw I prefer if he had more supportive skills, like remove his basic attack on his second and make it stun like his old one. his passive is atrocious, if you can't fully mark an enemy you can't get heal or stun them.

Also if the enemy minsi complete the trinity build even your tank will melt any seconds like karrie.

As an Argus Main when I see Minsitthar it's either go in hard or go home.

In my POV, he's like a 90% of chances of winning teamfights. But in terms of solo, there are heroes that can counter him like X-borg

As a minsitthar user, definitely worth it. Even before revamp, I liked him for his teamfight capabilities. Often as roam, then for exp used concussive blast to compensate for wave clear. Cant touch my turret. Then moontoon said, ill remove ur 2nd stun but i give u damage.. oh well...

Im old minsitthar former user. The biggest mistake i saw people do is only go on full tank build or roamer. He is more versatile then what people espect. Going full demage was not so bad after all . He have built in durability.
