When it comes to humor or for that matter soberness, discernment is crucial. There is a place for humor in our day to day stressful lives. It can lighten an anxious moment and refocus our thinking. Humor has helped me many times in my life. After all God made all things, including humor!

Don’t be sober minded in being sober minded. Be sober minded in being joyful. Be as happy in God as we can be. Set your hope fully on grace that is coming to you on the revelation of Jesus Christ. Be sober minded for the sake of your prayers. Thank you Lord God for this lesson. 🙏😇

Humor can be a wonderful way to connect with people, but inappropriate humour is often insulting.

The Lord is coming, the season is now! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. I myself like to think that I've got a funny sense of humour sometimes myself but I only use this whenever the time is right. So I'm serious when I believe that I need to be serious like at work for exp (although even there I still sometimes try to be humourous whenever and wherever I can to usually try and cheer people up including myself)

Why did you not give some type of example of what you want people to understand what the term "flippant humor" is or what your understanding of it is pertaining to this subject? The car was moving fast. Or, the car was moving at 152 miles per hour. There's no room for an individuals own interpretation of what fast means in the second example. What is flippant to you is probably different than what I would think. Chandler Bing from the sitcom Friends comes to mind as someone who might fit the description of flippant humor. Others might find Chandler totally normal. What do you mean?

But I do believe it NEEDS to be said) Kind Sir...it amazes me how many Christians...believe "they" can change their sinful temptational selves...by "repenting*"... When will they understand; that satan 😈IS the 2nd Power; there will ever be. Thus NO one can turn away from bad (sinful) things by ourselves. And that has been proven; ever since Eve "seduced" Adam to disobey God. AFTER satan tempted her to a very "DESIRABLE" sin. Thus, she did NOT say no. Nor did Adam say NO! to her Sadly. And for 'circa 6,000 yrs; preachers have told their members: "YOU can do it! YES, you can"! Etc and Ad-infinitum. And "little" ever really changes! Sadly. Yet the preachers still espouse; that the "impossible" can be done by ourselves. Oh Yeah! And So Sad and OH so True. And HOGWASH too! For the ONLY way any one can ever: have their bad (sinful) things (including Abominable Sins) lessened: is to humble ourselves and pray sincerely to Jesus💘ONLY; and ask Him to remove satan's constant, temptational, awesome "desires" to SIN, Etc. And ONLY Jesus can cause one to sin LESS**! Believe it or not! Proof?...Jesus told us to do this in His "Lord's Prayer"... Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Now: I must warn, that the 1st half of that incredible (and precious) verse; was translated wrongly. So it should be like this in.... Matthew 6:13 And lead us from satan's constant, temptational "desires" (to Sin), and also deliver us from satan's evils: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Because...many Christians" interpret" the original translation to say; Jesus tempts US to sin and do evil things. And that is NOT so. So I changed it; as it should have been written. My point is this: The ONLY way any one can sin LESS; is to go to the ONLY "quintessential" Power, forever! Which is Jesus; who IS the only God Almighty there will ever be. Praise Jesus' precious Holy Name... But...He will NOT do that without our sincere prayers; because He (since Creation) chose to give US "Free Will". Even to sin. Sad but true. So most of Jesus' Gospel; was telling us "COME TO ME"! And over and over. Meaning; that Jesus is the ONLY entity; that can ever run "interference" against satan; that causes us to sin Less. And Jesus said this in... John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (There is NO other way, NOR truth void of lies. And the ONLY way any creature could live. And of course OUR lives too! Amen.) Bur remember...we MUST pray that prayer often; and be very humbly "Sincere". Otherwise Jesus; will let us do whatever we want to! Because He chose to give us...what? Huh? What a precious God. I love him with every iota of my being. I wish ALL would come to that "fact absolute"! And an incredible "life" over 90 yrs. As last April 5th, 2022...born 1932! End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN! * Repenting is NOT what has been preached for 2,000 yrs. For it simply is: realizing that we sinned. And confessing it to Jesus in a very humble way in prayer. "THAT" is repenting. Sadly, writers made a mistake. Sad! Here's Proof... Genesis 6:6 And it repented God; that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Exodus 32:14 And God repented of the evil; which he thought to do unto his people. And God (who IS Jesus) never sinned! End of Story! And Amen! ** NO one can EVER be sinLESS! Only sin LESS. If ye git me drift...🤠

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These use￾less phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people ques￾tioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salva￾tion that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved.
