We took a road trip for the day just 25 miles outside of downtown Las Vegas to visit the quaint, small town of Boulder City, Nevada. With no gambling and a growth ordinance on its population, it is a completely different world than its’ neighboring city, Las Vegas. The heart of its historic downtown district is filled with mom-and-pop small businesses including bars, restaurants, coffee shops, vintage stores, antique stores and much more making this a fun day trip for the whole family. We stopped by a few local businesses and historic landmarks.

So you got to take a day trip to a WHOLE OTHER CITY (not Las Vegas) while on the clock? Did you pay for your own meals or was that paid for by the taxpayers?
