Ninh Binh is so far my favourite place in Vietnam. I stayed in Trang An which is a lot more quieter than Tam Coc. Tam Coc boat ride can be really good or complete garbage depending on your boatman. I was in luck with mine. The lady was an absolute gem! She even stopped at the viewpoint and we hiked there together. At the end she received a hefty tip w/o even asking. She was amazing. But a boat ride I would really recommend is the Trang An boat ride. The views are amazing! And you will also not get scammed by either the boatman or people along the way

I solo traveled in Ninh Binh December 2019 and I can totally relate when you said you had to stop at random spots because the views are amazing. Everywhere is picturesque!

Was there a few months ago. Absolutely unreal. I mean yeah theres a lot of tourists around the boats and look outs etc but its so easy to ride around on a moto and forget all that. The roads arent busy at all.

the scams in Vietnam is so annoying, and if you're too friendly with the locals, they take advantage of that thinking you're a easy target and scam you.

@@lanngocnguyen6836buồn thật! nhiều người sống nhờ du lịch mà làm xấu du lịch Việt Nam vài đồng tiền cũng không làm họ giàu lên nhưng nhiều người nghe thông tin sẽ mất cảm tình và sẽ chọn lựa nơi khác. Nạn lừa chặt chém, lôi kéo, nói thách không biết khi nào mới bỏ hết được. Chính quyền cần phạt những người này thật nặng và có thể cấm họ bán trên sông này nếu vi phạm để không làm xấu bộ mặt du lịch Việt Nam.

I think the Vietnamese just don't know how to cook goat as good as the Greeks. The little motor bikes ans scooters seem to provide awesome freedom. Stunning scenery and footage, great work mate.

Yes I am mostly! I recently have started using my main camera more for vlogging it's just not great for some occasions as it's a lot bigger. I use the Sony A7RV as my main camera.

That's a pretty common scam here - the seller suggests buying a drink and a snack for your rower, takes the money, then your rower discretely returns the water and snack to the seller in exchange for a cut. They almost got me when I was there but thankfully I'd heard about it beforehand!

New style hack-and-slash tourism in Trang An - Ninh Binh In the clip of a young British blogger visiting Trang An by boat, a hawker boat stopped by to offer and agree to buy two cans of beer for 30,000 a can, but the vender took more. The shop gave her the boatwoman and said it was a gift and asked the young tourist to pay 200,000... I don't understand when there was a business like this in Trang An? Tourists once gone won't come back

I’ve recently told the shop sellers sell the items back to the hawker boats to resell to other tourists. It’s a shame it’s happening, I agree to support snd buy 2 beers.

If you want to try goat meat in Ninh Binh, you'll have to search for some good restaurants on the internet first, or just go to a restaurant named Chính Thư. Ninh Binh is not famous for the Pho actually. Grilled goat meat, goat hotpot, goat blood...etc are better. Also, ducks and bánh cuốn there really worth trying 🔥 You can try asking the locals for some good places to eat.

I had no problem using an atm when I was there, just had to tell my bank that I was traveling so they didn’t block it, personally depending on where u are they’re might not be an atm ur better off just bringing some Vietnamese $ with you and using an atm if u need it

Something to keep in mind is that you’ll use smaller like 20,000 Dong notes (about 1 USD $) much more than the bigger bills, they might just take the bigger bill and not have/give you the change back if ur trying to use a 500,000 VND note to pay for like a soda

@@fenyx2558 because it's too chewy to go with a noodle soup and it has a certain scent to it that doesn't match phở vibe + there're better ways to serve goat meat (plain steamed and dipped in tương bần is surprisingly good). That's what I think, not coming from that area.

The boat ride is a joke £390 for 2 ppl, then over priced drink and snacks along the way and if u don’t have the correct money they keep your money. It’s got even worse now, the boat drivers forces each person to pay 50k tip
