Have a nice trip in Pakistan. One of my favorite countries. I like Pakistan more than China and Russia. I especially love TV series and movies, national costumes, shalwar kameez, everything is wonderful. Uzbekistan and Pakistan are historically close nations, our language is a little similar. Of course, Urdu belongs to the family of Indo-European languages, but there are words close to Uzbek, for example: the word "gosht" is pronounced "gosht" in Urdu, while "tarvuz" and a number of other words are Turkish words. is similar

I am from North Pakistan and have lived in Siberia. Made many friends from Kazakhstan. We have a lot of similarities in language and culture from the North. I will be visiting Almaty soon. Please, do visit North Pakistan (Chitral, Hunza, Gilgit and Baltistan). Northern Pakistan have had a lot of relations with Kazakhstan before joining Pakistan. We were all Turkic people to have originated from Altai.

Of course, there are similarities in our dishes, for example, if pilaf is prepared in Uzbekistan, pilaf i.e. biryani is prepared in Pakistan. Somsa is also prepared in Uzbekistan. In our Uzbekistan, the technique of cooking somsa is different, that is, we cook somsa on a gas stove or in the oven. In Pakistan, they fry somsa in hot oil, but our dishes are still similar.

When you said Police was checking vehicles, you know you were in highest security zone (almost red zone). You saw the Supreme Court building, adjacent to Supreme Court is Parliament house, Prime minister house and Presidency (President House). So, this is high sensitive area. 😊

Islamabad is not pedestrian friendly. It is meant for people with cars only (LOL), but nice clean air to breath. You are going to have a blast in Pakistan. When you tell people that you are from Kazakistan, tell it little slowly as you are probably one of very few people who came form that country. people would love you when they know you are muslim and from another STAN (hahaha), one of the seven stans. "Supreme Court" is the highest court of Pakistan.
