Next up in the fast food and fast casual review series is Panera Bread. I ordered a ton of menu items and reviewed the ingredients. For the most part, Panera uses real food and not too many preservatives or chemicals. Here are the healthiest menu options!

That would be great, although, that would come with a price. Most if not all of his Bobby approve foods & ingredients are pricey (unfortunately). Ideal yes, but business wise, I’m not sure if that’s going to be sustainable.

I once saw a meme that said “Panera tastes like overpriced hospital food and people are just okay with that”, and I’ve never heard anything more accurate. 😏😁

Why do people always hate on hospital food? When you've been in there for 3 days or 4 days and they haven't let you eat anyting you're pretty satisfied with whatever they shove on that plate that they heated up after the doctor said you could finally eat. Panera tastes really good to me. I've never had anything I didn't like from there but now I don't eat there because I don't eat gluten or soy.

@@lockergr I've stayed at the local hospital in my city for a few days and they actually had pretty good tasting food. Just like anywhere else, it depends on who and how something is cooked.

I think Rose stole my heart. I love how you are teaching her to cook with you. It is something she will never forget! We love Panera! Great review! (Love the guy who balanced his Boba tea 🧋 on his head and did a squat. That strawberry poppyseed salad was the first thing I ever had from Panera. Delish!

Its ok to eat their macaroni cheese, 10 veggies soup, salad and baja bowl. When eating out Throw out the window the dirty dozens rules and emphasize on limiting the bad oils and preservatives. Thanks for the video

Thanks so much, Bobby for taking the time and effort to produce such compelling content! Love Panera because their staff is so professional and so nice. I order the Turkey Chili because it has the least amount of sodium. I wish that Panera would greatly reduce the amount of sodium in their menu items, especially their soups. Let the customer add salt if desired.

And Brad!They barely got that Chipotle sauce on that sandwich! 🥪🤣That balancing act that was behind you was so cool!🥤I'm pretty sure that I've had the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, and it was really good! I eat Panera bread several times per week. Chicken strawberry spinach salad no dressing just lemon is amazing. Have strawberry banana smoothies all the time too. Love their chocolate chip bagels. The chicken salad sandwich is great as well as the smokehouse bbq chicken sandwich. I like the basic cheese pizza also.

Panera offers a amazing cinnamon blueberry strawberry oatmeal in the morning! Amazing Also my favorite healthy salad at Panera is the kale salad with fruit and add chicken!! Lots of other healthy options too!

Could you please do a video on what is absolutely necessary to start a gluten free - organic - paleo pantry. What are the staples? These types of food items can be pricey, so the starter items only. I think that would be an huge gift for a lot of people. Thank you.

Basically all of their soups are full of sugar..... I hardly ever eat at Panera but when I do I always go for their salads and I customize my order always. But still I would rather make my own salad or soup. Bobby thanks to you since I follow you I have learned many things in terms of ingredients and what to look for!. Thank you for your videos.

I work at Panera before the Pandemic. All of the soups, mac and cheese, and all meat comes in frozen all ready cooked. Some dressing are made in store. Others are store made. Cookies, pastries, bagels, and bread are baked off.

Panera is so delicious. My fav is broccoli cheddar soup. I don’t go often I haven’t been in years. One time my husband ordered me a steak sandwich it was so delicious. I had a spicy mustard that has horseradish that I’m so obsessed with.

Thank you for this review Bobby . It's good to know the ingredients. I didn't used to pay attention to that, but now I do. I don't buy processed cheese anymore. How about Noodles & Company? We enjoy them, and they have (had?) power bowls with no noodles. I like their food and they seem to want to source their stuff responsibly, but not sure. This was very informative, and I'm glad to know that some of the things I enjoy were recommended.

Thanks for reviewing Panera menu. My favorite place. My daughter was asking about the items at Panera and I didn't know. Now I can share this video. Only thing I could think all thru the video is that is a lot of food for one person to complete. However, if Bobby was a little careful by not double dipping the spoon or cutting it into smaller bites. Some food could have been shared and not wasted.

I’ve noticed that each menu item...that actually doesn’t have hidden ingredients! 10veggie & autumn squash are the only vegetarian or vegan soups! The soups have chicken broth as a base! Yes the fake cheese ~microwaved Mac & cheese~Tysm for this video🙏🏻Bravo🙌🏼

Thanks for Yeast Extract info. That is the one ingredient in LONOLIFE bone broth I was confused about...cause I was taking it during a time when trying to fight what felt like a candida and eczema outbreak after a couple days of Antibiotic use.

I don’t like their food at all. When you cook at home using real food you can really taste the low quality and chemicals eating at these chain restaurants. I’m a healthy senior on no drugs who is a hiker and would like to keep it that way.

@@SimplyaLady92 , I was always a walker. As a kid I would rather play outside than with my Barbie dolls. I loved bike riding and handball. This was the 50’s so girls were suppose to like dolls and tea parties which I did not. Even today if I don’t get some exercise in for the day I don’t feel good. Exercise invigorates me. My mother smoked all during her pregnancy with me as back then no one knew it was harmful. I always wonder if something will pop up later in life like now. Someone I know was just diagnosed with lung cancer who never smoked. The doctor asked if her mother smoked while pregnant. Very scary.

The chicken noodle soup, roasted turkey avocado BLT, and Mediterranean veggie sandwich are some of the healthier options at Panera as well. Panera soup and half a sandwich is a decent lunch if you have to eat out at a fast(ish) food place.

Thank you for your review. I used to order from Panera bread at least 2 times a week. I’ve noticed in the last 2 years the quality and portions of their food has gone down dramatically. I only eat there nice in while now.

MSG can also be hidden in an ingredient called "spices", a vague term for whatever the manufacturer decides those are. It won't necessarily be there and If it's organic spices, it won't. The food world is full of misleading and ambiguous terms like that.
