A rep came to my house today and the unit, without the shampoo attachment, was $3800, and I was told this was an air cleaner, not a vacuum, and the demo would be between 60-90 minutes. If I let them do the demo, I would get a free room air cleaner… the “demo” was over 4 hours, and I had to ask them to leave because we had to take my daughter to swim lessons and literally had no time left.

The vacuum system is great, personally I wouldn’t work there because of the pyramid nature of it. I did the demos just to get the vacuum cheaper, which I did, but I’d NEVER work there.

Great video, I never sold Rainbow but I did sell Kirby for a brief period out of high school and it was the same general vibe. My only additional complaint was I had ZERO training from my distributor, he kinda skipped it with me as I knew the product as I grew up with one but I had no idea how to make a sale. It’s a very pushy industry and it’s difficult to make profitable.

Thanks this was helpful, I had a rainbow demo done at my my home, I really like the product, I was told it's 4000 but discount to 3200 if I buy it that same day. I love all that the rainbow does but yes it's pricy. I am looking for alternatives but I enjoyed the free humidifier they gave just for watching the demo. I think that's their new marketing technique. The rainbow demos are so informative (educational) I understand your point that they don't have it at bath and beyond for example because I agree" who would want to buy it at 3000-4000 for a home cleaning kit (by the way I love the dry cleaner part cleans the stuff animals) and I have Pets but to invest 3500 or 4000 then or there or trade by referring friends was something I wasn't sure of. I agree the product is really good. My friend had his for 20 plus years but it is expensive but today's market some people are buying these expensive bags that don't even help your health etc. That's just my practical side. The rainbow water filtration system seems to be a wonderful product to have for health I just wish I could afford it after the Pandemic. . I really want to own a rainbow but I struggled with the price. They say it's an investment. One of these days I'll own one but for now it's too pricy but THE BENEFITS ARE FANTASTIC only because I saw the demonstration. People need to see the demo first because common knowledge doesn't always cut it. I agree as far as a business, it's challenging to go to peoples homes especially after the pandemic. Who knows, maybe their marketing has changed but so far the current one is you get a free humidifier worth $150 JUST FOR watching the demo. After the demo it made me want one because of all it does and the sample on my couches and floors and pets. I want one but I cannot afford it just yet. They offered a payment plan, I still wasn't sure. I don't work for rexair I just saw their demo and my friend visited me and I had already heard about it years ago. I hope that one of these days I get to own one. I hope rexair can make it affordable. I have pets and love dogs. WE need that. My parents just gave me their 15 yo Rainbow. They’ve hardly used some of the attachments and it’s in good condition What I find worrying is that you can hardly get any instructions online on how to use them, only short videos that mostly talk and no show. Is it good? Sure. Did my mother need it and all the 100 attachments? Absolutely not! The seller was a good talker and managed to convince her she needed it. Is it a scam? No. But it’s like dealing with a brilliant and manipulative car salesman. And the fact that the only way for me to understand how the freak to use it is to invite them into my home. All I have to say is that my mother ended up feeling like a fool for buying it. She felt manipulated into buying attachments she didn’t need.

Why do rainbow vacuums still have multiple filters in them if the water works so well?

We have a brand new in the box 2011 top of the line model that our in laws bought for $3000 back then. This device comes with all of the attachments and is still in the shipping box, so never used and new. We have removed it from the shipping box and have started using it, since our in laws do not want it.

So far I’ve been with this company just a little over a month and I’ve sold about 6-7 machine but I’m not too sure I want to further my career with them sorry to any other employees who see this comment I’m just not into this whole situation

Someone came to my house today and did a demo...I was impressed but can't justify paying over $3K for a vacuum...I said no and they still gave me an air purifier for letting them do the demo.

I have my eSeries that I bought in 2001 for $1770. It still works great and has worked great for the last 21 years. It has more suction than any of the less expensive vacuums, i.e. every other vacuum on the market.

I was with Rexair many yrs ago, but only briefly[the D2 was the machine then]...did some demos but no sales, even had one hot lead stolen by another; that's right they r EXPENSIVE. Quit soon after, sure learned a lot about peoples attitudes....a few yrs later, my mom brought home and odd looking machine from a garage sale that looked familiar.....turned out to be a Rainbow from the '30's or 40's.....all metal...wonder what it's worth as an heirloom...don't have it in my possession though. JN

I feel like most people that praise this either don't know the value of a dollar or don't want to admit they just spent 3k on an electric water pipe.

Rainbow is the best! It collects all the dirt and water doesn’t blow it back out through a vacuum bag with all the disgusting stuff that was in there from the last time. No I do not sell them. I think it’s the best vacuum you could ever buy. It is pricey. Well worth it.

Wife and I bought one in 2021 after being hounded by a sales rep we met in 2019 at a home show. They initially pitched it as a home air purifier, and didn't mention it was a vacuum until the end of their sales pitch. As a way to get in the home, they said we "won" a free ionization purifier just for letting them come over to show us the Rainbow Air Filter. At the end of it all, they then offered a discount of $300 if I were to trade in my dyson, which they didn't take and simply asked that I throw it away (it was FUBAR), and they got a special "this day only" deal for some accessories and a 25 year warranty, plus some bonus items more if I could give them a lead that ended with a sale. They also offered financing options, but the interest rate is CRAZY high, and that was with great credit. Ultimately, I love it, and it out performs any vacuum I have had before. The warranty is what really convinced me though. They then did pitch us on attending some seminar, to get a free gift, and learn more about becoming sales associates, stating that if we could sell 10 vacuums that it would essentially pay for the one we purchased.

Just got pitched for 6k system yesterday... they said no problem get 12 demos/ 2 Sales and you get the whole syatem and attachments free!!!!! Ya no thank you

I love my Rainbow! I bought my current one in 2002. It was my second one. The first one was purchased in 1986. I would still pay the original price for either machine. Great machines.

Rainbow vacuum cleaners have had Hepa filters on them since the E series,thereby negating the claim that they dont lose suction. Rainbow had to install a Hepa filter because they kept being rsted worst in filtration by consumer reports. Water is a poor filter medium and doesnt trap everything. The fine escapes and is blown back into the home. Anyone that spends $3,000 on one of these is an idiot. The last good model they made was the model D2 that was all metal. Ever since then they've all gone downhill

So where the scam? A scam is where you get sold a lie. The product is literally demonstrated in your home and the price isn't a mystery. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that says the Rainbow is a bad product. Just one other thing. How did this lady work in two locations and only sell one rainbow??

My parents owned a rainbow when I grew up... Literally over priced for what it is, and it's super annoying to clean up. I prefer a good hepa vacuum with a Bissell revolution 2x carpet cleaner combo. Also, rainbow is a MLM run away.

If you only sold one rainbow, then you definitely do not have the experience nor the knowledge to give advice about this business lol. The people who actually put in the effort, always succeed. Just sayin

Save your money. It’s piece of shit. Parents bought it while I wasn’t home for $3000 and got free rainbow cook set. Called them next day to return they drop it down to $2000 and got another free water filter. Imagine dropped from $3000 with all the goodies to $2000 and give another goodie so customer keep the product. Imagine how much they make from selling 1 unit. Old peoples. Save your money. Go to the store and buy a good vacuum and good air purifier and still have some money left.
