Is San Tan Valley the next Arizona city?

With the San Tan Mountains as a backdrop, San Tan Valley is one of the fastest-growing communities in Arizona. Some residents of San Tan Valley want to see their area recognized as a city. In April, an organization called STV Inc. 2024 notified Pinal County it will try to get San Tan Valley recognized as a city.

As a resident of Queen Creek, I’ve driven through San Tan Valley many times and it’s hard to believe it’s not a city already. It has more infrastructure than most county islands

Can I be honest? I missed it when it was empty… When it was just the fry’s and the Walmart area. I miss the empty mountain range, looking at the sunset and sunrise peaking through them on the desert landscape, it was mostly empty space, with not much being there except the old San tan flats restaurant down the road. Now there is so much construction, now there filling in those spaces with apartments, new buildings, and so many new neighborhoods. It’s already hot enough over here and with the exhaust coming from the construction areas and more people moving over here. Now with all that stuff in the air we aren’t getting much rain anymore, which doesn’t mix well with the rising heat. All we are getting now are dust storms.

I thought it was a city already. They already rebranded some of the zip codes from QC to STV

If so they better get a whole lot more hiways in there and a cut over to the Florence junction and…well crap…send 100,000 folks back to where they came from.

I think they need to let San tan valley be its own city and if they start letting if Lating buses lake city come in the area it's going to bring more. Trouble to the area
