3 questions to ask 1.) Who currently has her heart? (It should be Jesus) * what does she love? * Who does she love? * Does culture have her heart? * Does any guy that will give her attention have her heart? * Does her ex have her heart? * Jesus shouldn’t be a part of her life but the point of her life Matthew 7:20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law Don’t just find someone who calls themselves a Christian. Find someone who lives like Christ 2.) What dictates her value? She was made in the image of God & that’s where her value should come from (not some LV bags or outer appearance) Shouldn’t be obsessed with her own image but be an image-bearer (God’s image) 1 Peter 3:3 - Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Proverbs 31 - Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised Value doesn’t come from looks. Is she holy or hot? What is she communicating by what she posts online? 3.) Can she follow you? If she hasn’t found value in Jesus, she won’t follow you - she will NEED you You shouldn’t be responsible for starting her fire for Christ. You should be there to fan the flames/make it grow Does she understand that marriage is an everlasting covenant? That divorce is not an option? Marriage shouldn’t be the end goal. It should be to raise disciples and provide hospitality You’d rather be 40 and single than 40 and miserable in a marriage with someone who didn’t put in the work to become this kind of person

I love your response..I am glad there are real christian men out there wanting these things you mentioned. Unfortunately reality ( and I am sad to say it from experience) that finding those reciprocal things in men (1 and 2 same, 3. Can he lead me? Can he be the head? for guys) as a woman resident physician it has been difficult as well. I think as a society, both sides are struggling to find these things you mention!! But I always have hope God provides. Sometimes it's scary to think, will I ever find it?! lolz :D

Um sorry but yes divorce IS an option if a husband is acting outside of his commitments to the marriage and to God. Please don't spread lies to Daughters of Christ. God hates divorce but he also hates controlling abusers so each man should evaluate his OWN heart and intentions for marrying someone. God gives the guidelines. Sin is sin. Everyone has free will and can make choices to sever human relationships, our relationship with our Father is above all, including a marriage relationship.

And I almost ended it between us, as I didn't like some things. But, thankfully I spoke to him about it and I love that we can truly talk about it all and work through everything. I too feel Christian guys don’t exist lol but they do! Is not in our timing but in God’s it’s hard but it may be the life we have planned for ourselves is not what God’s wants for us. We have to surrender to His will. Just as Rodgers said a relationship does not dictate our value we need to put our eyes in Jesus and wait He knows what is better for us, take this time to grow in Him He is enough.❤️

Second this: some people are naturally more appealing, and they didn’t earn that, but I personally care about a person’s fitness and health routine because 1. It takes discipline to exercise regularly and to choose healthy foods 2. Tons of benefits to a person’s emotional health 3. It’s something that we can do together as a couple 4. So imma just put it out there. I had this with a girl who was super sweet and kind and absolutely everything that this video was talking about… and I just wasn’t into her. She checked every single box given. It wasn’t even an issue of “she’s giving too much time to God!” She was very devoted to me, we were BEST friends, we spent a lot of time together, the whole nine yards. And we both serve in a local church and a campus ministry, go on mission trips, retreats, you name it. But, I just wasn’t into her. I prayed and I prayed to develop a kind of emotional connection with her, to love her as she deserved to be loved, and weeks and weeks and weeks went by, and, nothing. She loved me fully, and she was exactly what this pastor was talking about. And it didn’t work out. It just wasn’t there, and now our whole friend group and church group knows and there’s a divide. So I’m a bit skeptical of this sermon now honestly. Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents.

hi! it’s sometimes frustrating when our prayers over the desires of our hearts aren’t answered right away, or even in the way we want. God is on a different time then we are. while it’s super endearing to want to develop those feelings and a relationship, the main thing is to continue to seek God first. Seek first the Kingdom of God and He will give you all you need (Matthew 6:33). Don’t give up on God or a relationship. Don’t let your feelings heavily influence your faith 💯

this was frustrating to read, lots to feel, and i understand your pain. I'm not one to advocate for the absence of feelings in relationship - while its debatable whether they come first or not, I think its an important part of any relationship. I'm grateful you get to articulate it as its difficult to - who can really explain fully what it means to have no feelings, even when the conditions are perfect? But I'd like to assure you that the absence of feelings is not against God - it could be a sign to learn how to cultivate it, or it could be a sign that you both need a break to figure things out. Either way, I hope you get to keep the friendship and your community is loving and supporting to both of your decisions. Peace!

It sounds like you had a really beautiful friendship and that alone is something to be incredibly thankful for. I know I have a tendency to want to turn my love toward the person I'm pursuing, maybe instead of focusing on building an emotional connection you should open about what you are and are not feeling and allow yourselves to continue growing in faith and friendship. I hope you are both well, and I hope this finds you in peace of heart. Maybe the "list of questions" isn't supposed to be a check list but rather a guideline with the big picture of both of you having similar priorities and devotions. God bless 💕

If you apply these questions to a girl (or the guy version for the guys) it really eliminates like 95% of people. Yes the 5% exist but then you add online dating, work, the fact that outside of college you don’t run into people your own age and socialize the same anymore. On top of that..guys can be slightly passive. It’s disheartening..yes you focus on God and let him take care of it…but it’s still disheartening

I think it's good to remember that 1)You only need one guy out there or vice versa for men so the 5% is definitely not too small. And 2) God is the Creator of ALL things --people, places, outside of time and space so if He wants to bring two people together, it will take nothing as in no complications or struggle to do that. Trust Him and His heart. I can imagine that on our side of things it can look like not much is moving or happening but you've got to believe and trust that on His side, He's moving so many pieces for things to come together. He is always working. Let's work too, to trust that He's got us.

This is a great message for Christians but there's a lot missing people can get out of prison or be new in recovery and be on fire for Jesus but haven't done any work or had any time to process and do some self work and change who they used to be. Just because we are sold out for Jesus doesn't mean we're not dealing with things like codependency or mental health issues or Integrity issues. Someone can be radically on fire for Jesus and be a sex addict and not delivered of that yet. You can marry someone that is new to recovery and they are on fire for Jesus and then you get married and wake up and they have relapsed and you're married to an addict. There's a lot more that goes into it than what's in this video. It's a great guideline to go by but if you're going to procreate and make human beings with this person what is their family history of abuse of mental illness of addiction of physical illnesses? On top of that if you don't even know who you are you haven't been any self work how do you know what's going to be a good match for you long-term. Everybody goes through changes and grows and becomes a different person than they were when they were young so what fits for you now may not fit for you in 10 years. Being a personality match is super vital. Being a match in your integrity is super vital. You can't have integrity in most Arenas but cut corners on some things and then get with someone that doesn't have the same level of integrity and expect them to operate at your level. Eventually is a little foxes spoil the vine..

I hate this "appearance shouldn't matter" Anyone who says this is lying to you. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Your temple shouldn't look like brothel or an all you can eat buffet. I hear this all the time from people who don't want exercise or eat right. Do your best to be healthy and take care of yourself. Does appearance matter? Yes. Is it so important that you should associate your value with your appearance? No.

Ladies, be mindful of what this guy said "Don''t settle, better to be 40 and single than 40 married and miserable". Don't lower your standards, seek for Jesus, he is ENOUGH, even if it means staying singe for the rest of our lives, HE IS ENOUGH.

yes agreed it's not worth settling. finally in a place of knowing my value & worth instead of seeking that in a relationship. it's so freeing and what he said about being bound is really true. settling is when you don't value yourself. it breaks my heart that so many of us settle for far less than we deserve. Much better to be alone and in peace. marked by peace. ladies watch some of the RC Blake's sermons. they are very encouraging 😊

If you marry the smartest, prettiest, most Godly woman you can find someday you will cross paths with someone even prettier, smarter, and more Godly than the one you have! Make your choice, but once made that's it...she's yours! Divorce and remarriage is NOT an option. And an adulterous affair? DON'T EVEN GO THERE!!

There is A LOT of marketing mixed in with scripture...If dating is not biblical, then why take scriptures to make it seem biblical? This is why men & women think these examples don't exist.. What is "The Right Way" if there is no biblical way stated? Or is this a way to keep social order??? To stop ppl from hooking up,.... committing social/legal crimes...
