It's amazing that at such a young age, you are able to speak and articulate your thoughts and emotions with such clarity! I'm also glad that you became self-aware. This is one of the most important things which anyone can learn. Even years into your professional experience, sometimes you do realize that you don't know something. If you don't realize this and become cocky, it'll bite you(talking from personal experience). Keep up the good work and attitude. I see you going places!

As a mechanical engineer I was asked to work on saturday. And I said yes, but since I didn't get a decent break from work over the weekend I was actually less productive during the whole next week because it was just too much the same thing. Working more hours does not let you recharge. Its best to work less hours then come in strong and get a lot done. But managers don't know that. They think that if you there at the company all day that your actually getting things done. Sure you are, but in a slow burned out way, always looking for time to waste on the side.

Thank you for sharing! I am close to finishing my degree and will soon be job hunting for a software dev job as a career changer. Lately I've been nearly paralyzed by fear that (IF) I manage to get a job, every workplace will be exploitative and toxic. Do you have any videos or insight that you may be able to share? Trying to train myself to look past the internet doom and expect the best for my future so that I can apply and interview more confidently. Thanks!

I am here suffering from a high burnout from the things I am working on. I hope one day, all this pays off .

Once you work you for start ups, you will develop this awareness. I was kind of the same, and still am in some sense, but better now. Great video btw.

I dont say no because the people manager is in the same meeting/ chat as the PO and SM and I kinda want to have a decent performance review, but outcome is the same, burnout.
