Slight correction, Portsmouth & Southsea is not the busiest station in Portsmouth. Before the pandemic, that was Portsmouth Harbour, but more recently, it has Fratton, so I guess people must have overinterpreted the phrase to get off at Fratton.

@MrRQBQ it’s what I have called it my entire life. Maybe don’t watch a global website where people have different accent and different name for things. The British are the only people who call it a toilet, because the rest of us put everything in the same room. And no I’m not American.

@@JoshGoesSlow 'The British are the only people who call it a toilet' - bit of a sweeping statement which is factually untrue. Try Germany for example where the use of the word 'toilette' is common in public places. Anyway I don't wish to quibble over something so petty, my original post was just intended as a light hearted observation.

Where do you store your suitcase? I am concerned that it will be stored out of sight of where you are sitting.

thanks Josh. I will be taking this train, 1st Class, in a couple of weeks but will have a suitcase with me. is there somewhere to store my suitcase where I can keep an eye on it?

Yes. If it is carry-on sized, you can store it in the overhead racks. Alternatively, you can store larger bags between the seats
