This show was gold. It was hilarious when it wanted to be, and dark and serious when it needed to be.

I also found Beast Boy’s humor and lighthearted nature displayed how much he cared about the titans, because he saw what a team that obsessed over defeating their enemies is like: cold. He tries his best to lighten the situation so his friends won’t be sucked down into the coldness that the doom patrol was.

What really sucks about the show being cancelled (aside from being left on a cliffhanger...) is that we never got a Starfire oriented season. Season 1 = Robin S2 = Terra S3 = Cyborg S4 = Raven S5 = Beast Boy Starfire definitely had important episodes throughout the show. But she never really had an entire arc dedicated towards her and her character development as well as her backstory (although, you could argue that we got a lot of her backstory in the show already).

"It's TEEN TITANS as good as you remember?" No, *it's even better* because I can notice details and appreciate good story-telling as a 20 years old man that I couldn't as a kid who only watched them for the fights and music.

I’m thirteen and I used to hate the teen titans (the team not the show) bc I only knew about TTGo. I thought they were assholes who didn’t care and acted like jerks. Then a few months ago I found a clip of the original Teen Titans on KZfaq, so I downloaded the entire series online, and this is the best cartoon I have ever seen, next to Young Justice. I wish there was a season 6. Hopefully we’ll get one, even though I know it is highly unlikely. This is the show which calmed me down and made me see that school and homework isn’t the only things to live for. This show taught me many good morals, unlike TTGo. This show didn’t break me out of the dark mindset I used to have about the world (that nothing matters and I would be better off dead), but it helped majorly and I actually feel happy again. Edit: My parents are good parents, but they installed this mindset that if you don’t get the top score in class every test, you’ll become a failure in life. I try my best to please them, but I’m always just a little below their expectations. No matter what I do, there’s always someone that does it better, or faster. It doesn’t help that they keep comparing me to my “friends”, which are mostly geniuses who go to the top school in my country. I used to write stories, lots of them, to break out of the monotonous cycle and feel something, but it became boring after months of writing without ever being able to finish the ending. It didn’t help that I am pretty introverted and scared of going out. When I saw the show, it gave me new ideas to write about, new ways to explore the world of writing, and as much as my parents hate it that I’m watching shows that are so old and targeted at a younger age group, I insist on watching it, because from the moment I saw that clip on KZfaq about this show, it lit a fire inside me, and gave me hope that I can become my dream self if I try. And although this might sound like bullshit to most people, I love this show and I really wish a Season 6 might happen.

The bit about how they are able to do serious and wacky scenes in the same show is because they embraced the fact that these aren't just superheroes, they are teenagers. Their life isn't their job, and so they are allowed to have fun, to be silly, to just be themselves.

9:12 Robin: "All you care about is destruction.." Slade: "..and all you care about, you destroy." Such an under rated exchange. It's not only clever word play, which is brilliant, but it's a multi-faceted statement. On one hand, it shows that Robin is just like Slade, which terrifies Robin as it's something he doesn't want to be. On the other hand, it's a subtle way that Slade shows he's getting what he wants: the end of the Titans (destruction through Robin).

I love that every episode had that 1 character it focused on but was really about the whole team at the same time. It’s brilliant

My only regret about this show (besides season 6 never happening and us not getting a more Starfire-centric story): This could've been a show that helped Tim Drake become more mainstream, like in BTAS. I really think he's an underrated Robin, and I felt bad when I think that this show could've given him more attention, as the comics kinda ignore him right now. But Dick's relationship with Starfire and character growth helped make it much better.

I still find it funny that Cyborg quits the team literally in the first episode. Couldn't they've saved that kind of episode for later to make it more believable? :D Other than that, this show rocked. Definitely more memorable than modern cartoons.

Teen Titans is that one show I can always go back too and still enjoy it even at 19 years old. I loved how the show handled the lessons it was trying to teach children. The characters growth through out the show was extremely well done.

I remember watching this show, when I was 6 years old.

It's an amazing show, I rewatched it a year or two ago and it's incredible. All of the characters are fleshed out and get their motivations clear. The storylines are deep and hard hitting and there's still a good amount of comedy in it. I remember being devastated as a kid when it went off the air.

the Titans were more then just a super hero team, they believed in eachother, relayed on eachother, cohered with eachother on the battlefield and certainly as Friends. BB and Raven would bicker and would also have contemplative conversations about being a true with yourself, realizing that one is present to support the other, and to not feel alone or estranged. It was my favorite dynamic to watch.

This show was my childhood, I even had an Instagram account dedicated to Starfire and the whole Teen Titans community were all so nice and we’d do fan roleplays of the Titans. It was so so fun and I miss those days

My boyfriend & I rewatched this like 2 months ago (at the respective ages of 21& 22) literally had an amazing experience, it was incredible, totally held up, it actually got better w/ time. The fact that you can sit there & watch them all back to back to back, & you're older/wiser now, so you catch all kinds of stuff you never noticed, I just highly highly reccomend it

I was 7 years old when I watched the full series. (i thought I didn't finish the series when I was at the last episode where beast boy leaves with his team after Terra wants Beast boy to forget her) It is weird to a fact THAT was the last episode. But, what I loved about the series was the characters, their backstory, and designs. We got Robin learning how strong he is and leader with not needing to be a sidekick for Batman. Starfire learns more about the earth ways and optimistic personality, Raven being mysterious in who she is she wanted to be a hero than being with her villainous father, Beastboy who can turn to any animal is something cool to any kid seeing powers like that, and Cyborg who was once a person but had a terrible accident and became clever with advanced technology and motivational spirit that it was fun seeing beastboy and Cyborg as good friends. This show really nailed it to many kids to teens to possibly adults because the way they pulled this show together had such great story content to work and talk about. This show is a gem, its sad that kids in the current generation enjoy more of teen titans: GO ( although I do hate shows when its completely energetic and fast paced making me wonder what I am watching)

I recently re-watched TT, and I'd say that the show still holds up pretty well, and definitely over TT Go. Characters are still lovable, VA casting is still good, and now that I'm older I can understand things that I missed in my youth. Plus, that theme song still bangs.

Teen Titans is truly one of the greatest shows ever. The core group of Titans is probably my favorite cast for any show ever. The show truly works due to the strength of the characters.

I remember watching this show back as a smaller me. Every episode was it's own story, and then you had a major character arc for every Titan. It was funny and light hearted, with a very noticeable dark undertone. And I think that's where cartoons go wrong today. They try to be too many things, and all you get is a melted glob without purpose. But with the Titans, it set out to do exactly what it did. Plus, I think the dark undertones(Or sometimes not dark undertones, the show was definitely dark when it wanted to be) really made it stand out. It made it real, and it pulled no punches in letting you know that. The characters were relatable in ways I haven't seen in cartoons probably SINCE this show. I really can't finish this comment without bringing up Slade, the pervasive evil throughout the entire series. He was by far the main villain, even when he wasn't. Season 1, yeah sure. Season 2, even though it largely focused on Terra, Slade was always there, controlling. Season 3, he haunts Robin to the point of nightly hallucinations(The quote you showed in the video always gives me chills). Season 4, he plays the role of the anti-hero, joining with the Titans after Trigon is awakened(Also, his speech to Raven after she stopped time is a close second to the best Slade speech), and in season 5... I honestly don't remember season 5, but I know he showed up. Now, I'd go into each of the Titans, but I'd really need to rewatch the show to do any sort of description justice. However, I will say Raven was my favorite and most relatable Titan. And no, it wasn't just because she was hot. But on that note, Teen Titans is definitely better than I remember, and probably better than most of today's cartoons, all cramming their agenda's down our throats. We want to be entertained, not taught how to think. This show definitely entertained. If only more people would see that and we could get our final season. Who knows, we might get the Clone Wars treatment. Or better yet, restart the series. Start at the beginning, and work it's way up back into the hearts of all the fans. It'd do better than any DC movie or comic right now. I'll stop the comment now, I realized my short sentence about the video quickly turned into an essay. Not that that's bad, but people may not read it. But if you did, good job! That is all.

Like most of my favorite childhood comics and shows, they're even better as an adult because you understand the social dynamics and storytelling elements better.

What I liked most about this show is the personal relationships between the group they learn how to respect the difference each of them have even though as people we always struggle to blend with people that are different from us. This sends a message no matter who you are or where your from you'll meet friends in the most unlikely ways. I carry that with me throughout my life cause it's not just true this is basically a show teaching you how to be good person to your friends and loved ones. You will fight, disagree, even be upset with each other. At the end of the day you know who your true friends are and have there back that's a strong message that a lot of people miss.

It's honestly incredible how good the show holds up. I decided to binge watch the series again and hot damn, I forgot what a masterclass of animation, story telling, character developement and character relationships this was. Even as a grown ass man, I still care about the dynamic between Starfire and Robin, unbelievable. Anyway, we got to see them once again in the 2019 movie. Even tho they didn't take them seriously, the movie's a big reason why I still believe that we will someday get to see season 6 of OG Titans. I mean, I sure as shit wouldn't mind. They left us with so many questions and cliffhangers. I tried my hands on TT Go, it was funny at times, but it's just not really for me. All those heartbreaking character and story arcs are gone. The relationship between Starfire and Robin is completely turned on its head, in a rather creepy kind of way, and the episodes in generell are a major downgrade from the original. Still, again, it isn't a bad show, just a dissappointing one, especially for fans of the OGs.

If the OG Teen Titans was ever revived for season 6, we need an Starfire arc (since most of the members have their own in the previous seasons). There are few fans I think fans would like to see here: - Star’s complex relationship with her sister Blackfire (with flashbacks of their childhood days on Taraman with their Royal family) - Understand why Komand'r‘s jealousy of her parents’ love for Kory as their most favorite daughter - The Development of Starfire and Robin’s romantic relationship that’s left off from Trouble in Tokyo movie. - exploring more of the Planet Tamaran, their culture and their system of government - Introduce Donna Troy, Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark), Kid Devil, Sarah Simms, Sheriff Stella Gomez & her brother Sol (both are from the Starfire solo comics), Batman and the Justice League in this particular universe. - Bringing Green Lantern Kyle Rayner to this universe (since he was a member of the New Titans in the comics) - Green Lantern Corps and why are they forbid to enter Vega Star System - Blackifre needs to find a better love interest (possibly Red X) - The Cidital-Tamaranian War that ask the Titans for aid; BlackFire and Starfire put their differences aside to save their homeworld. - Blackfire becomes an antihero like Red X. - 7th and final season that centers in Slade, Jericho and Ravanger. I think those topics DC and Warner Bros needs to considered taking note on for the revival.
