Under the hood is a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that is pumping out 617HP and is mated to a ZF 8-speed transmission. It's exterior features a very seductive shape, even for it's large size. It's 20in wheels have carbon ceramic rotors, and massive calipers located behind them. Considering a E53 AMG optioned out is 94k and only has 429hp and doesn’t handle like a true amg this is definitely worth the price.

Wow, what can you say? I can almost sense how quick and precise this car feels from the test drive. I feel like on any M, AMG or RS vehicle, nothing should be an option especially that "M Mode" for this BMW. But awesome piece of machinery for sure. Thanks again for the great review Joe!

You forgot to mention the most important fact that when you open the trunk, there are switches to fold down the rear seat in 40-20-40 configuration. (To some people that’s important). Great 👍 video

Some trivia on the M badging....The first Red stripe represented Texaco, the famous American oil retail brand, who had partnered with BMW during the early days of M racing. Blue represented BMW and Bavarian region. The purple was used to represent the partnership and to allow for a nice transition between the two colors, blending as some may call it.Mar 17, 2020.

Really nice Beamer Joe but I wonder if they are going to make a competition model of this ? It doesn’t seem as aggressive as it could be. I would definitely purchase the vehicle if I had the funds, but I would like to see BMW step up the aggressive styling on this M8. One feature that really stood out to me was the passenger side 2 person memory settings!!! If I’m not mistaken they are the first to do that on a car in this price range and class. This is a feature that I would expect on a Maybach.

After 5 years.... mmmm thats when all BMWs become EMPTY $ pits ! Especially over 50k miles... you better have deep pockets, this one will bankrupt you for sure. Case in point: In July 2018 I bought a 2013 X5 with 96k miles... beautiful looking in mint condition and rode awesome. Within 8 months with an extended warranty i dropped nearly $2,500 -$3k in front end work, Leaking rear Diff, broken door lock (actuator). Couldn’t sell it privately and took a $6k loss by trading it in for my beautiful 2013 Lexus ES350 with only 30,009 miles. Best decision ive ever made.. Toyota/Lexus are the most reliable and dependable cars/trucks on the road today !

Stephen DiBari I understand your concerns. I used an E60 with 150k+ miles after changing out the water pump and HPFP. Didn’t have any major issues after then
