Good review Joe. Couple things you might consider covering in a future review: 1) show the electrical connectors at the doors, I'm curious where / how the harness is unplugged. 2) spare tire / jack or fix flat and compressor 3) what do you think the biggest tire you can put on that thing without putting a lift on it, 4) what are standard axle ratios? 5) what is the fuel tank size / range. That would look pretty good with some real bumpers, a winch and some wheels and tires but then that might put it in the 50K range (which is a bunch for a jeep).

Bought this exact truck today and added some take off Rubicon wheels/tires/suspension with fox shocks. I got 10k off msrp, so out goes my 19’ f150. It was a deal I couldnt turn down. Nice to be back in a Jeep since my last JK with 37’s few years ago. This review helped, thank you!

Great Review nice camera work guys. I like Jeeps, i had a 84 CJ7 (should have never sold it) and a 99 Wrangler. Its just not a Gladiator, its a Wrangler with a tacked on bed, it does not 'look' right its out of proportion. Yes its capable, but really when jeep people think of a Gladiator, we think of the late 60s early 70s, full sized Gladiator, like the one in the move Tremors. That is the Gladiator and Jeep also had that awesome concept Gladiator that Jeep should have built us. You know I'm right, had Jeep made it to be a Gladiator not a Wrangler with a bed, Jeep would not be able to make enough of them. I'm a Jeep off road type of guy and its just not a Gladiator. Thank you for the reviews, you do really good work.

I notice you have been doing a lot of reviews lately. Seriously considering replacing my Sprinter a year from now with a Gladiator S. Change of plans my wife does not want to leave California for another 7 years. I don’t think a Sprinter is useful pass the emissions warranty. Great job buddy I am finally subscribing. Came here for a review of the Sport...instead, like 90% of all reviewers, you got it wrong...its a 'Sport S'...not a Sport model. Sport model has manual locks & windows...the radio & gauge setup on the Sport is all different...this is not a Sport, very clearly a Sport S. The Gladiator has 4 Models... Sport, Sport S, Overland & Rubicon. You're reviewing a SPORT S

I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Off-road with everything... a 2005 Jeep TJ unlimited 2 door. I would rather have a 2 door model of the Gladiator but I like it. The price isn’t out of hand. My Tacoma MSRP was $39,000 when I bought it

The biggest difference you did not mention is the eight speed automatic transmission which gives it tons more acceleration over the JK

It is a nice off road midsizer but it’s very pricey. Maybe if they made a simple extended cab with a usable bed and a 2wd option it’d be affordable . Until then, I’m still rocking my 06’ Dakota with it’s 4.7 V8 Magnum.

The problem is you'll need to add 5k or more to get a lift and wheels. Stock tires look like my cars wheel set up. Over priced.

I remember in basic training that we had 7 belt loops on are pants cause it was a symbol of strength by my drill Sargent, that could be why there is 7 bars on the grill

I love my 2020 Jeep Gladiator rubicon

Drove one today. Not enough power for me. I'm coming from a V8 Dakota with less ponies but more torque, was super surprised it lagged so much.

The manual rear bed window is on all trims, not just the Sport.

I would get it if they had black rims and more aggressive tires but I'll stick to my 2020 ranger sport that was only 34 grand!

Really loving this jeep. Just can’t believe the price of vehicles nowadays. Anyhow, I lived the Jeep life when I bought a new 2000 solar yellow sport with the 4.0 liter V-6. Fun ride but had the soft top. Broken into six times even though I always made sure nothing was in it. Instead of just pressing on back side of zipper and unzipping the window for access they would always use a knife or lighter. Well that was long winded with a bunch of rhetoric I’m sure you guys aren’t interested in.. Sorry guys. Jeeps just always bring back memories. Have a good weekend ladies and germs.

This is an awesome off road vehicle or make it your daily mall crawler. This truck is not for me but it screams to be customizable to the end degree and that’s what people do with them. I happen to like the new JL Wrangler.

I actually like the looks of the Gladiator. The engine is reliable, but is everything else around it? FCA has quality issues. I also wish they made this in a two door. Overall, it's a nice truck. Would I buy one? Hell no. Not with a $45k MSRP for the sport model. I can get a Colorado ZR2, which has more off road goodies, for about $5k cheaper. Jeeps have become way overpriced. Just my opinion.

Well, a roof mounted antenna would not work very well with removable roof panels or a soft top, so old school rules...

I like it less after hearing the price. Been telling my wife for a year now that we will be getting one in diesel when they come out but now that they upped the price I am sad to say they took away the only advantage it had going for it.

Love the gladiator, and I’m close to pulling the trigger on buying one myself. Be real though, those OEM wheels on the sports are hideous.

Ahh ohh...Joe! I seen the first thing you have ever got wrong! Lol You said that was a 5" screen, that one is actually the optional 7" (they also have a 8.4" as the best one). I know allot of guys always say it's bigger than what it actually is I didn't figure you would be one of them. Lol!!

It appears when you remove the doors you are also removing your rear view mirrors. Should have made it like the CJ 7 where the mirrors are mounted to the body and not the doors. That's a really breaker for me. Great review though. Thanks.

It seems like Jeep has intentionally marketed the Gladiator as a Jeep off-road vehicle and not so much a truck. Not sure if their afraid they'll take sales away from Ram or what, but their upgraded models are mostly for add'l off-road capability. I want a Gladiator to use as a mid size truck, some towing and daily driving and only occasional off-roading.

When you remove the doors, the windows go with them? Why would the switches be in the middle to take up prime real estate?

And don't forget as soon as you drive it home. It's value. Goes down to 40K.....like I've said before..buy a used jeep. Drive it for a year or two then sell it like most jeep owners do....lol

Great review. Completely agree with the wind noise and lack of power. But plastic on everything and manually adjustable seats 🤨 for 45k. Need to drop in another 10k of off-road improvements. Hard pass. That Jeep life is going to be expensive

As usual, you can't tell the difference between a Sport and a Sport S. Its real easy, the Sport has black steel wheels and the Sport S has shiny aluminum wheels.

Why do car reviewers continue to perpetuate the silly claims about the window controls and their location being in the center console underneath the AC instead of on the doors. What are you going to do, roll your windows up and down while the doors are removed? Not a big deal but it is a bit irritating.

So this is the official “one year later comment”. I love looking back at the enthusiasm of the Glads intro to a starved market. Way overpriced. They’ve dropped pricing a few $k but still it hurts. The Gladiator is like weight loss - you have to want it. The trim doesn’t give you much but the option to buy more stuff... which coincidentally requires for you to pair unwanted engine or transmissions with some of those options. Hence the $35k -> $50k in 5 seconds. Leg room in the back is a big plus and much needed in a family four door truck. The storage is awful. Cargo netting is not my jam and it is the storage “go to” throughout the interior. Steering is loose. I own a CJ7. I’ve owned wranglers. I’ve waited for this concept to become reality since 2003 or so when it was revealed. In the end I might go to the long in the tooth model Tacoma Off-Road fully loaded. It also can be snatched up in a manual. In the end, Toyota also has a rich truck history, can save me $3-4K, can get me fully loaded with safety options standard, leather interior, and a rear locker. There is a reason after the Ranger and Gladiator have entered the market that Tacoma is still #1.
