Honestly racer x dodge really missed out on these special edition cars!! They are nothing special but rebadged cars with decals!! No different interior leather or colors nothing

Excellent as usual RacerX! As a 63 year old I remember the Swinger well as it was one of the Mopars I could afford as a young man in the mid 1970s on the used market. Had a plum crazy 340. Nice job comparing what was to what is and at least Dodge made some effort to recognize their heritage on these vehicles…and there were a lot of them LOL!

I appreciate the time and work you put into your reviews, and showing us all the new vehicles, and comparing them to others in there class. Hope dodge has the sense to bring back the Cuda name with a shorter and lighter version of the challenger. I will be watching and learning from your videos. THANKS. Randy.

I just bought a manual 2023 Scat Challenger today and boy I am excited! I think these last call models and any 2023 model will be worth big bucks in the future. Been loving the reviews keep it up!

Cool car and with no ADM on a Last Call special edition?! Nice! Finally an honorable dealership. I've owned an R/T, 2 392s, and 2 Hellcats all challengers. 2012 thru 2023. 392s are great cars! It's just sad that the prices have gone through the roof in the last few years on the Challengers and Chargers. Thanx for the vid X

I remember my parents bought a 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger that was yellow with a black vinyl top and black vinyl interior and a slant 6. It did have wood grain around the dash. I think this new Swinger should have the little flower logo they had back in the 70's.

My very first car in 1984 was a Dart Swinger, I think it was a '70. I wasn't into cars at the time, it was just transportation. About a month after I got it I was driving and the engine shut off, but I managed to coast into a parking lot. Popped the hood - the battery had come loose, rolled around, and shorted out the entire electrical system. I sold it to a neighbor for about $800.

That Dart with the Dodge rally wheels you showed a photo of was NOICE!!

Thank you for review. I think these good cars for their price. Limited edition, they have unique trim. I do see people using these badges and decals on non-limited edition Scats. The only thing I haven't understood - "Gold School" - i haven't noticed any goldish colour, but more antiqued silver like.

I wish they had added real woodgrain as an option, at least on the Jailbreaks, I loved wood trim (I know it was fake) in the 70’s cars and the wood trim on the current Giulia and high end Jeeps looks amazing.

My second favorite Dodge was my friends Swinger 340 cant remember the year but it was like riding in a rocket powered radio flyer wagon! I really like how Dodge is releasing all these unique models assuring the market for them in a couple decades will bring big bucks.

There are a number of Challenger swingers around me. Both greens. One dealer has a white in transit. They are all priced $67k. One of those dealers has a black ghost being built priced $120,865. They were like "its last call and a special edition trim what did you expect to pay?" The only difference is stickers...🙄

My first car was a Swinger. Seriously considered buying one but Ive got my heart set on Plum Crazy so ordered that instead

I had a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger with the gutless slant six back in the late 1980's. It was a basic fun car. I wish I had the 318, but it was still fun to drive.

I was able to get my hands on a Swinger Edition at MSRP since my order was on restriction.

My dad be the boss at dodge in my hometown and he got a swinger challenger in the dark green with a shaker for a night and gotta say the swinger style be so smexy and the driving is just so good 😩

I have a 2014 charger rt AWD max and I can't believe the interior is almost identical still even in the newer special editions 😂

I’ve been hauling more of the swingers than any other last call editions followed closely by the Black Ghost but I will say that I’ve hauled way more of the sublime swingers than white knuckle and I don’t think I’ve had any in F8 yet.

Great Video & Informative. Im surprised of the way Dodge spec’d this Special Edition without Harmon Kardon or a Sunroof. (Must have options for me) 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ For the same price you could build your own Scatpack in Sublime Green with HK, Sunroof and the Carbon/Suede pkg.. minus the Swinger stickers. 😎👍

It doesn’t deserve the name Swinger without the double hood scoops that was the biggest signature design of the performance Dart Swinger’s back in the day!!

When I was a kid in the 70's I was told the "Scatpack" name was a reference to the trio of entertainers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. being known as the "Rat pack". The Challenger, Charger, and Dart being the "Scatpack" . The term "Scat", in the south at least, always meant moving fast (not poop). Not sure about where the "swinger" came from, but the Ratpack were definitely swingers😂😂

My dad is currently restoring a 1970 dodge dart swinger, in the lime green colour.

I didn’t want one until I saw a white charger swinger. It was spoken for so I got lucky and landed a Sublime one. No ADM, I don’t play that 💩. I have a Redeye on order…but who knows if I will ever get built.

Yeah Swingers were a around when I was a kid and they're not the most sot after but you have to pay attention because instead of a 225 slant six you could get a 340 six pack its all in the trim packages. Dodge should have revived the Cornett for the super cars it was the first best in the Dodge line up 413 max wedge dual quads set records in the drag racing world and more reliable than the hemi

to me its a hell of a markup for something you could get close to for cheaper with a normal scat

2015 Charger Scatpack was $40K new, same hp as this car, same interior, and was faster in a straight line. Now they’re charging $25K more for the same car but with big fenders and stickers 💀💀💀 This is more expensive than older Hellcats were brand new.

I have a 2018 demon 24**, my dealer that sold me the first demon bailed on me in favor of the dealership owner 1 week after the big 170 announcement on 24th. ive called across the country since, 50 hours in phone calls alone-even had my son at his academy get involved calling when im at work and we traded off calling LOL. tried getting in touch with stellantis which was a lost cause, srt got back to me with "we aren't in the loop on this". still looking to vin match, still offering a competitive price, looking for advice on who/where/when to get in touch with. seems to be no answers anywhere online on who to get in touch with! if you have any advice please get in touch w/ me. -mike

It's important to watch both videos in the entirety. He was not trying to "bash" it or the original owner. Between the facts, a sort of dealing with it back in the 80s and a interesting mention about the son's work business, would REALLY make anyone wonder. I think that's why it has gotten soo much buzz. He is going to do a 3rd live video soon with someone credible to add to this whole thing. He actually gives congrats that the son 'pulled off' a million bucks and a special addition from dodge

They should have added more aluminum wood. That one tiny piece by the shifter isn’t enough lol

At 65k , there's alot of competition. The best Swinger spec would be the narrow body challenger with the 6 speed, imo. The wide body contradicts the "Swinger" vibe for me

I put stickers and badges on my '85 Dodge Aries K and the added weight had my 0-60mph time increase to 4 minutes

What kills me Dodge had decades too come on with a new lighter rear wheel drive platform , plus developing new 32 valve DOHC V8 engines , so what and the hell they were doing in that time frame it's crazy 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The swinger edition is foolish. Seems like Dodge is just trying to clear out their remaining inventory.

I ordered a swinger edition challenger 2 months ago. They quoted me $91,000 !!!!!!!! It just arrived at the dealership. I will go see it Monday. Obviously I'm not paying $91,000. If they will sell it at sticker I will buy it. If not, I will do business with someone else!

The only scat pack chargers that seem to be available are these swinger editions, and the demand rhetoric from the dealers doesn't seem to match the actual sales of these cars from my viewpoint in Canada. They come in, huge mark up's, then sit, most of them are now msrp and still not moving. For those of us who don't particularly like the colors, I'd love a frost bite blue scat pack charger, non wide body, but their are none. Furthermore, it seems like every dealer has 2 hellcats or jailbreak challengers, and they seem to be not moving. Is reality finally setting into these dealers?

I traded my hellcat red-eye for a Shelby gt500 and I'm Soo glad I did.

With all do respect Racer X the swinger and most of the rest are rebadge gimmicks. Even with your enthusiasm to push dodges last call editions. Dodge is going to lose many customers, but I think stellactus is going to chop dodge. Like the SRT section. Hopefully, direct connection will pan out.

I wouldn't buy this car if you already have a wide body get you a front bumper splitter side body rocker panel trim and rear bumper shark diffuser. With those small add-ons you will look better all day.
