The Sakura is a kei car from Nissan that is build for the Japan market. On the outside you might laugh at the small size, but on the inside there is tons of room. Powering the Sakura is a single electric motor. Is the 2024 Nissan Sakura a GREAT car you CAN"T have?

As a true hot blooded American you need a 5 meter long 3 row SUV equipped with a 7.5 liter v8 and a sports mode that allows you to go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. You know, for sport and utility (they will be used to send children to school).

This is what America needs as cost-effective transportation: Pint-sized vehicles with pint-sized prices. Most marked-up $40-$50K SUVs and crossovers in America are gallon-sized priced and make it hard for consumers to stay financially afloat 😵‍💫💰💔. $13K: Nuff said 🎯. A subcompact vehicle I would love to see in America is the Suzuki Jimney!😍 Thank you Raiti and Lori for an excellent review from the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵⛩️👍🏻

Even at $15K this would be a great deal for 110mi range and 40 min. charging. Great for daily work commute. You can even drive from Philly to NYC one way without a sweat.

Mitsubishi has a distant twin of this car too called the EK X EV with different exterior and interior styling and the same power train. I like the Mitsubishi version better than this Sakura, but this is also nice too. I like the price of this car.

I have an Ariya and quality of excellent. Everything in this is lifted out of the Ariya and just shrunk down. But it’s so similar. I want one so bad!

Nice! You were also in Japan. The Sakura is great. But also the other variants: The Mitsubishi eKs, Dayz, Roox. All K-Cars are. Just normal cars with many features bigger cars have. Just smaller. And no small and loud small moped engines for sometimes younger buyers with special permission. You can also have it with Pro-Pilot and Pro-Park! And you also could drive it. 👍 Wish we had it here in Europe as well

i wish this was sold here. the narrow streets in boston would benefit from having this car. it’s actually rose gold, not copper trim. i assume they did that for cherry blossoms

In India, we have Tata Punch EV, which has a lot of similarities to Sakura EV except its width is wider(1742 mm), whereas Sakura EV is 1475mm.

I suspect that they pushed the front wheels forward and the back wheels backward--increasing the wheelbase--to keep a small vehicle like this from running rough. Wheelbase creates comfort.

Too bad these dont meet safety regulations for North America. Would be great for dense city sprawl to zip around in. Would be nice for older people or young drivers with a low price point, similar speed to the Citroën Ami just to get around off highways.
