The 50th letter is a "checksum" - a way of knowing if you copied the Torah accurately. The physical Torah scroll is held in reverence and you do not want errors and inaccuracies to creep into the text as you laboriously copy it out by hand. One way for a scribe to know if they have copied accurately is to do so 50 letters at a time. On the 50th letter, you must reach the next letter of Torah, or you know that you have dropped or added a letter.

The first half of the book Science Speaks by Peter Stoner was written my an astrologist who believes the univers is billions of years old - all based on assumptions that we can measure speed of light, and the distance of the stars. This is warped way of looking at science - The second half of the book was actually written by Stoner and is a good read. Einsteins E=MC2 might be wrong because the speed of light is not constant - we can slow down speed of light to 1mpg. Certain different color of light doesn't necessary proove how far a certain star is.

The old testament is written 1100 years with several writers. The writers made 300 predictions in the old testament like where Jesus would be born, that he would be born of a virgin, he would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey, he would be betrayed by a friend, betrayed for 30 pieces of silver etc.. The last book in the old testament was written 400 years before Jesus was born. Jesus then comes to earth and 300 predictions were fulfilled. What is probability of that happening?
