"Horizon is never straight" is so easy to fix, even you could do it!

Yea it sounds like yours is either damaged or really needs some calibration. I have the same drone and have never had any of the problems you’re describing. That Mavic does look nice, but the P3 Pro is much more solid than you’re saying here.

Still fly mine and it’s awesome. I did replace the compass on it. Very easy to do.

Phantom 3 is still a good drone, have two of them and they are stable and good in windy conditions. As for the screen connection haven't had any drop outs. Maybe it's something wrong with the one you purchased or needs resetting and calibration is out

Damn...seems like you're tainted big time! I have used a Phantom 3 for years, it is stable - don't know why you said it isn't and moves around all the time? In high wind, mine is typically rock solid. I always attributed it to the increased weight opposed to the featherweight Mavic series. I do agree about the video cut out, that's super annoying...but overall - it's a great drone, even in 2022. Perfect for people looking to get into a drone that isn't a "toy"...and learn. While you noted a few valid points, I disagree with many other things you've noted.

First person I ever heard say anything negative about the phantom 3. Yes I own the 3 pro and mine is super stable no flaws and it’s a 2017 model. I agree on one thing it is a lil bulky. And I don’t regret it at all. And seems like everyone else here that have a phantom 3 agree check the comments 👇👇👆👆

Thanks for the info. They are selling these second-hand where I live, but I wasn´t sure if they were worth the price.

Could it be your drone is damaged I’ve never heard these issues before on the phantom 3

I have two phantom standard 3’s and love them both. Video dropouts? Not here, unless I’ve flown it just under 2 miles. (Antennae expander) Is the noise too loud for me? I ride a Harley…I love the sound! I think if you were to spend some quality time with your drone, you know, long walks on the beach, etc., and tune that rascal up a bit….you’d probably learn to love it again.

I used ine severalk times when I bought it a few years back, and never had problems with it. No horizon issues, no banding or jiggle lines on the video from the SD card. The streaming is a little poor, but I never used that for anything except a preview. Going to dust min off and try to use it soon. My problem is that it does not work with the newer Samsung phones.

Does sound like needs set up , but at the end of the day things move on and improve and in the drone and camera world, yes the phantom is loud next to newer drone, same with camera . But at the time the phantom 3 came out it was top of the tree. Right price phantom 3 pro is good for bit of play, but if you going spend above £800 you would definitely go for a newer more modern drone. Also because of the weight of a phantom flying them is getting more limited and you have to be registered .

bro your signal extender is on the opposite side of where it should be. in all shots that it is visible. Is there any chance this is why you have connectivity problems?

I have both drones myself, the Mavic is a better drone in most cases but the Phantom 3 is a very solid drone and does more than most people actually need. I use it as a backup myself, but it is way better than you described here.

That’s a phantom 3 standard with gold stickers , check the controller, totally different to the pro phantom 3

You must have a bad version of P3 4K because the one I had looked great! I have made many sales of the video because I ran around the city and shot everything i could before the law changed. I have Mavic and Mini 2 and the video quality looks the same to me...., Never took photos. I never had your issues with image transmission. I'm gonna get a P3 4K as a backup! The bigger Phantom is much more stable IMO than the smaller Mavic..., You got hosed by the seller of this drone, bro!

I disagree, the Phantom 3 Pro isn't obsolete in 2024. The other Phantom series was never ment to be used for professional purposes until the Phantom 4 came out. Images cutting in and out is caused by wifi interference.

mine was fine a few years back when i bought it , tho the situation with the dji go app is dreadful.. i now have a £600 lump of plastic with some electronics inside it that doesn't work

Obnoxious sound? You’re probably a Tesla guy who doesn’t like the rumble of carbureted cars from the 60s. Your standard must have been wrecked because I don’t have any of those problems and I’ve owned it since 2015. Drones that shoot raw are like pro cameras that shoot raw; you have to edit in Lightroom or Photoshop. If you want a quiet sissy drone get a Mavic Mini 3. And many drone operators judge drones on whether they shoot 4K or larger. I’m a semi pro wildlife photographer and seldom shoot in 4K because of how much space it hogs up on your SD card and hard drive and it takes longer to upload videos with a 4K format.

time for you to buy dji Mavic 3 and saw the massive difference between them. phantom 3 is a good drone but their are old and chunky compare to newer drones. I'm not waste my money on that. I have Mavic 3 and this drone is the beast :)

Mavic is obviously better. But sounds like you need to calibrate the compass and imu. And the antenna thing you got on your controller is facing the wrong way

Never had any of the problems you mention about the phantom. That drone has been crashed hard. You bought garbage without testing it.

You’re review is not accurate, as you bought it used and most likely damaged, I still have a standard 3 and an advanced,, of course compared to a DJI 4 pro their is no comparison, I had none of those issues with neither one of my DJI 3s ,, I always buy new for that’s same reason,, so I won’t inherit someone else’s issues (: 👍🏼🙏🏻
