They have become the investigation and enforcement arm of the deep state and the democrats. The rot is not contained at the top but goes all the way through. I think about this a lot. From the perspective of an historian, I think about leaving an account of what we're going through, and WHY we act/react the way we do - KNOWING they'll have those questions. "Why did they....?" I am retired from the Navy, had spent time in the Arab world, and was a police officer. One evening we talked on the phone for over an hour, discussing what she was learning in school, a bit of my military history, what I was doing on 9-11 and the aftermath as everybody in town was reporting suspicious activity, her trips to Morocco and Jordan, my time in Oman and Bahrain, and somehow got off on the JFK assassination. At the end of the conversation I said "I wonder if the NSA was listening in." I'm still curious to see if I can get a copy of the recording.
