I just bought one. It was a great deal with the $400 rebate. Only took 15 days to get the rebate.

How are you liking it after several months? I was set on the MillerMattic but there rebate just ended and the $400 rebate is currently active on the MPI. This is my first welder. I like everything on the Lincoln but wondering if that fan will drive me nuts in person

Have mine for over a year, no complaints. as a matter of fact, runs better than my older 210MP. My only issue is that I was expecting 0.30 flux core capability, something absent from the 210 too.

its not absent you just have to use Manual mode and know what to set it at.

Just new to this sport and am buying a 180i with all the goodies for TIG (I believe that I will want to check TIG out) so I was wondering if Lincoln is a good welder and from all the videos I have seen, I am sure that I am making a good decision. Thanks for the great video!

Lincoln makes great welders. I’ve got three myself and they’re rock solid. Enjoy the journey, any day burning metal is a good day in my book.

Looks amazing...just out of my price range. :( As a non-welder (and old dude) who is looking to learn I can't justify that at this time, maybe ever. I can see it for the person that welds often, but for me, I'd probably use it every couple months if that right now. Nice looking machine though.

@@dmc2087 I'm sure I would, but right now, no. Still $2K for something I might use a dozen times a year? Not sure. I'm STILL trying to get the Miller from where my wife works. Place shut down operations two years ago. Offered up $2K for the Miller, Hydraulic Press, two Grinders (one like the tool grinder Adam Booth has in his home shop, and the other is a 10" Baldor ginder/polisher), and a steel saw. They said "well, we don't know what we are allowed to do". I said "Throw it by management, I'll pull it, and price is negotiable". They came back and said 'We're just scrapping it all". WHAT!?!?!? Yea...They aren't auctioning it, they are going to bring in a 30 yard dump and destroy the equipment so the employees that are left can't 'steal' it. :(

@@mblake0420Still out of that price range. :( It isn't easy being in the "Retired, but can't get to your retirement savings" timeframe. Gotta watch the spending until I can get to the retirement savings. 3.25 years for that.

I am thinking about upgrading from my old Hobart handler 140 MIG to something like this. Looks like I would need to purchase the foot pump, etc to TIG. All I have for power is 120V, will that be enough power for all 3 functions? Is it worth the price to be able to do MIG, TIG and stick, plus a later posibile upgrade to be able to do alum as well? I am a hobbist, car nut, fabricator and I am a novice welder as well, but I would like to get better at it.

That may be as close to made in USA as you are ever going to get with a welder. Old Millers say Made in USA and new ones say Assembled in USA. I'm pretty sure my bed frame was assembled in USA too (by me) after it was shipped to IKEA in a box from china.

@@mike9672 Miller and Hobart are practically the same company from what I understand and my new miller 211 says Assembled in USA. The old miller equipment said made in USA. I'm pretty sure they are getting most of their components from chai-nuh and final assembly is domestic.
