I'm still not sold on the MoonSwatch. However, a case can be made for Omega to produce real Moonwatch Professionals in actual ceramic like their Light Side of the Moon which was in white ceramic. Imagine a Speedmaster Professional in Red or Blue ceramic.

I think for the price, you can buy a worse watch. I really like that idea, same proportions as the speedy pro, but in interesting colors, marterials, and even complications

Right? It’s a great watch, very legible, great design. But I agree a little boring. Someone else suggested they do actual ceramic speedmaster pros, kind of like the dark side.

It’s an expensive Swatch. Pushers are falling off and they totally f@@@ed up the launch. I was thinking about getting one when they were to be sold online. Not now tho

It’s a little expensive, but in the context of terrible fashion watches, and Dave portnoy making a cheap Chinese watch for 2400 bucks, I think this 260 dollar moonswatch look alike, made by a real brand like swatch is cool. It’s just a fun watch, nothing serious. I agree the launch could have been handled better.

I am not convinced that the pushers braking off isn’t just a myth. I mean iv seen the video of the guy putting his hand inside jeans and it broke but I haven’t seen any other examples. All I see is people saying it happens. Again I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but I think it’s become a bit of a ranting point for people frustrated with intentional shortage rather than an actual problem..

Imagine a Seamaster 300x swatch “bioceramic” in crazy colors with 100 meters WR. That will be a killer pool/vacation beater.

I would not be surprised if the Seamaster is next to get the “bio ceramic” treatment. A million units of moonswatch, they will gladly take the mulla 🤑

Is a moonswatch actually a better watch than the current speedmaster professional? Pros Light, cool colors, same design, less expensive, collectible set, no worry about getting robbed, no service cost, recognizable (flex) Cons disposable, not durable, not luxury? , not the same feel of weight in the wrist, not something that can be a family heirloom. Moonswatch might actually be better….

In some respects, I think it can be 🙊. Although I can imagine the MoonSwatch acting more like a gateway drug into the obsession. But honestly, those are great points. For me it scratches that Speedy itch, for now at least.
