It's not a man Caver tools video without a mess up. I accidentally switched the 6ah and 4 ah footage on the 6in by 3/8 lag (OUT). My Bad, but it doesn't change the results of the HO battery or the video.

Hey Dave, I have the brushed M12 recip saw and it does come in handy here and there as it's tiny and not super powerful, but small and easy to use on something small, then I have the M18 full recip when I need the power. But your video here did prove the benefit of having the chainsaw for limbing instead of the brushless recip you have here, and I have that mini chainsaw too and it's so worth it. Thanks for the video, I think I'll look to get one of these when I am able.

It definitely has more output but I'm not sure I think it's worth their full price at $120. You can get two new 'open box' 6.0s for $88 or two new in box 6.0s for $108 on eBay. Can't beat that.

@@procrastinator1842 I understand the utility, I just look at the M18 3.0 HO batteries where you can get 2 packs for $120 and I'm forced to wonder how an M12 5.0 with smaller and less cells somehow comes in at the same price.

they use samsung 25s cells for this battery and they are awesome, but not the best there are. If they wanted to make the ultimate battery, it would be HO 4ah with samsung 20S cells. They are 2ah, although they give way more usable energy out compared to old 2ah cells and very close to most 2.5ah cells. And they are almost 20-30% stronger, they can handle 40A.
@procrastinator1842
@procrastinator1842 Жыл бұрын
I built a 2.0 CP pack with 3x 20S cells. I haven't made any measurements but it appears to hit slightly harder than the 6.0, and clearly trumps the 4.0. I also bought a 9 cell battery shell and filled it with 9x Molicel P26 cells. Amazing power, you can really lean on the tools and they don't cut out. The battery stays cold even at full load with the SDS drill with a 20+mm bit. No fading of power until it's basically dead flat.
@riba2233
@riba2233 Жыл бұрын
@@procrastinator1842 yeah 20s are best 18650's and p26 and 28 are most powerful in "2.5ah" range, great choice! I used 20s to make makita 40v packs and also have some 30T's for bigger cases once they arrive :)
@procrastinator1842
@procrastinator1842 Жыл бұрын
@@riba2233 For sure the 20S is incredible. 40A from an 18650! I decided to use the P26 is a 3s3p configuration because 90+A is well and truly sufficient...20S cells aren't necessary for that, more capacity was the goal. Although I matched the cells and found the capacity of the Molicels a lot less consistent than the Samsung ones. I have a couple of the new M12 Fuel gen 3 drills coming in the mail from the USA...Can't wait to do torque tests with my custom 2.0 and 8.0 packs. More importantly I'm hoping that I can use 1" self feeding spade bits without constant cutting out. Drives me nuts but I'm too stubborn to switch h to M18 😂

I guess they we're waiting for these new pipeline tools to come out. wrong - if a _reciprocating saw_ vibrates the saw horse like crazy, it means the foot is not in contact with the workpiece... and it is clearly visible in the video that you're not using it properly with the foot in contact.

@@ManCaverTools i did. Lowes was good about taking it back. I thought it was a little bit funny when they broke out the gloves and their haz mat kit. They put it a special bag and poured a box of baking soda in it. I think they've been through this before?🤔😁 I went over to get a replacement from the locked case. The girl let me check every remaining battery 4x. They were all dry...no black acid goo in them. I bought one and went on my way. To me the whole thing seem weird. None of the failed milwaukee batts ever leaked. While i was there i ran into the guy who worked that department but was off for the weekend. I told him about the milwaukees. He said if they don't warranty them that interstate batteries or batteries plus can rebild them with new cells that are leaps and bounds better that what most manufacturers put in them. Might go that route if i have to.
