Hi Brian, don’t underestimate the importance of having made this video. Positive role models as so important in today’s society,, even where we can be ourselves openly. I laughed out loud at your Sunday dinner outing to your parents...so many of us have shared that moment. Love you for the pointsguy stuff, but even more for just being yourself.

Thanks for sharing Brian... my coming out story is similar to yours so it made me smile thinking back on it. It’s always a Sunday dinner... lol. I love that you put your personality into The Points Guy, it’s what makes you different and honestly makes you the go-to travel blog for our community since you know most of us love to travel and don’t love paying full fare for anything! And thank you for partnering with Rainbow Railroad is well - great organization that is just one way we can help those that need it most!

Trust me being a parent we already know . When my son finally decided to tell me I think he was more shocked that I knew . But our love for our kids is unconditional. As long as their safe and happy you can’t ask for anything more .

thank you for sharing your story, and for highlighting the importance of advocating for LGBTI rights worldwide. i am so excited for the day where i could comfortably get on any flight with my partner and not feel awkward or uncomfortable because of the fact that my partner is a male, not just amongst passengers but also amongst staff.

Thank you. How did you get all the points? I’m thinking about a travel vlog, I’m an amputee (right leg below the knee). I would like to show issues what a disabled traveler faces. Lounge access, moving about the airport, airplane seats, hotel rooms, etc. I enjoy your videos. Love first class travel.

This reminds me of my best friend!! He was so serious about telling me he was gay. He was worried I wouldn’t love him anymore. I told him I always knew he was gay. My gaydar is very good!!😂 He did my clothes shopping, my makeup, and my hair. I lost him 5 years ago to AIDS. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him!! He was there from kindergarten to my 49th Birthday. I wish that who you Love didn’t matter. Love your personality and your videos. Never hide who you are!! Because the ones that judge you are not worth your time!! Have a Wonderful Day!!😁

I don't care if your gay, you thought us so much about credit card points and travel hacking. you are the first youtube channel is the first one I turned to when I first got interested in free travel. And all that matters is that your happy with you life and yourself. My dad once said to me you can't love other things in life and love others without loving yourself first.

Congratulations! Being an openly gay man for 40+ years, I find it very comforting to see young people like yourself who have had much of the road paved for you, continues to carry the torch for others who risk their life just to be out. Being a supporter of a Rainbow Railroad I have been aware of your work with them. I think you are a great role model for millennial and LGBT community on how not only to be successful in your career, standing for other people. I figure you were gay after seeing your participation in Rainbow Railroad and also your vibrant persona in your writing. It’s easy to see why your column is fund to read even though I am not really a points person. Keep up the great work!

I applaud you. I still have to dig deep, deep, to find the courage to tell my conservative family-who probably never would want to see me again- that I own that same exact shirt and also am ' as gay as they come', hope to be free someday and live as you and hopefully have a job at the points guy!
