SCARPA has had few boots with the track record of the T2. I've skied on the t2 ecos for a long time and I love them. The soft flex gives me the ability to easily get low and aggressive with the strength to power through anything I want

Best boots in the bumps. The ankle flex lets you snap the ski around faster than a TX Pro.

I'm on my third T2 and going to get another pair while available in 75mm. I resort ski predominantly bumps and I pair them with the Targa G3. I am stockpiling those as well. I started tele sking in 1979 and old school, Ned Gillette style 😊. I transitioned from snowfields to ASLO Extremes with Rottefella bindings and Kazamas skis for 20 years before plastic entered the picture. 😂 I've never alpined so dropping the knees is natural. I'm short and the flex on the T2 is perfect. I have every piece since day one: Karhu XCD GT, Kazama Telemark Edge, K2 Superstinx and my present favorite is Stokli Stormrider Pit Pro (light and responsive for bumps). I would like to know what ECO stands for??? Thank you Madsen for your posts.

Love the history and makes sense why you're digging the T2 Eco as it fits the timeline of boots you've had and probably has preserved a fairly similar feel over the years. Thanks for sharing all of that, I think people appreciate seeing these types of comments. I believe the ECO in the boot is a call out to materials. Per Scarpa's website on this boot - "Our products tread the most wonderful and unspoiled landscapes on earth. We feel we must do our best to preserve these landscapes. “Planet Friendly”, products made of environment-friendly materials refers to products in which materials and processes are specifically chosen for their environmentally friendly characteristics." Eco stands for Ecological as it is made of Rizinus Oil instead of mineral oil. have a good day! You impressed me!

I started with the T2 Eco on Switchback X2s mounted on Dynafit Tour 88s. Very light BC setup. These boots are stupid comfortable. Though does anyone else use/not use the laces on the liner?

Never found any benefit with laces. More of a pain than anything. I might bring ‘em on a hut trip, just so I can wear the liners by themselves inside the yurt, but otherwise no.

I spend a lot of time with Scarpa T2s = bought them in 2002, replaced them in 2023 = that's 21 years (maybe 200 skiing days ?). I switched to NTN (Meidjo fix) last year

How do you like the Meidjo bindings? What boots are you using with them. Do you have the heel lock as well? Very curious about the Meidjo and the options they bring to us.

@@marlinaeckel8914 it took me 2 or 3 days to adjust (my former bindings were 7tm). i use them with Scarpa Tx Pro boots. What I really like is how easy it is to step in, and the ski brakes. I don't have the heel lock, because I couldn't think about a situation that needed it.

We need a Scarpa Protector boot. Whatever that might be. Of course it would be a huge ask from Scarpa but a Madsen tweaked TX shipped to Salt Lake, label it up and put a mad Dostie invention on it. (Not running a whole new mold or production line obviously). Of course you’ve already thought of that. (Seems like you’ve got the inside scoop on what’s coming in boots)

Hey! Sorry for the delay, i was traveling to a Telemark event the past week and playing catch-up. You are most likely trying from IOS mobile (apple iPhone) - for some reason you have to do from a desktop because of this. I'm not sure why this is, but that's been the workaround so far. In my experience the T2's are good for up/down terrain earning turns, but for kicking around rolling hills the T4's or stiff leathers are far superior.

Yeah I'd agree with you on that. For rolling terrain I don't like having too tall of a boot. T4 is more of a nordic cruising vibe. Thanks for chiming in. - Madsen
