Maybe it's just the Raptor part of the hybrid that makes it look human like. Along with other DNA that may give it human like qualities.

When I first watched Fallen Kingdom I thought the Indoraptor had some kind of genetic connection to Maisie since it seemed to be most interested in her out of everyone it hunted. I actually made a Fallen Kingdom rewrite exploring that idea, basically when Maisie's "mother" died, Lockwood allowed Wu to use her body for hybrid research and some fragments of the human DNA were leftover from the early Indominus prototypes (not sure if that's how that works but I rolled with it lol). The idea was that they wanted the hybrid to imprint on humans so it could easily be controlled. Pretty ridiculous for sure, but I was certain this was the kind of route they were going when I first saw the movie, the Indoraptor being a genetic anomaly along with Maisie, I was sure there was some connection there. So the Scorpius having these features actually fits pretty well in my head-canon lmao.

When the Scorpius stood on two legs and roared it honestly sent me chills. What made it even scarier is how human his shadow looked.

To date, all of the hybrids have had subtle features such as opposable thumbs, heightened emotions (mostly rage and hatred) that feel vaguely human without ever confirming it. I kind of like that level of ambiguity more than if they just out and out said it.

While the use of Human DNA in the Scorpius Rex's genome is possible, I'd like to know what other animals make up E750's DNA? Besides the officially confirmed Scorpion Fish (which gives the Scorpius Rex both its' name & venomous spines), I think it's safe to assume that the Scorpius Rex shares some of the same DNA as the Indominus: Snakes (Thermal Detection), Tree Frogs (Asexual Reproduction?), Velociraptors (Toe Claws), Abelisaurs (Skull Shape) & possibly Deinosuchus (Armor?). However, there are some creatures in the Indominus Rex's DNA that may or may not be part of the Scorpius Rex's genome: Tyrannosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Therizinosaurus & Cuttlefish. The reason I doubt why these animals aren't part of E750's DNA is because it doesn't exhibit any specific features from them such as physical appearance (T-rex, Giga, Therizinosaurus) or camouflage ability (Cuttlefish). The protruding teeth of E750 might be a physical trait from Masiakasaurus? The Scorpius Rex also stores some of its kills in trees like a Leopard but this could just be a coincidence & it doesn't have Leopard DNA? I'd like to think that the Scorpius Rex has a rather large amount of Tree Frog DNA when compared to the other creatures. I'm mostly basing this assumption on E750's long hind legs (which remind me of the elongated legs of a Tree Frog), its' tree climbing abilities & when it attacked the group after leaping from the tree; it looked like it was gliding (Some Tree Frogs can glide). There is one more creature (or group of creatures) that might be part of the Scorpius Rex's DNA; Scansoriopterygids (such as Epidexipteryx, Scansoriopteryx & Yi Qi) were small, bird-like dinosaurs that lived in China during the Jurassic Period. They had long fingers (Yi Qi actually had wings), long tail feathers (some just had tails), short-rounded skulls & likely lived in trees. The Scorpius Rex has a vague resemblance to a Scansoriopterygids; just with a slightly longer tail & much larger body. The use of Scansoriopterygid DNA might also explain E750's tree climbing capabilities, protruding teeth (similar to Epidexipteryx) & possible gliding capabilites (Yi Qi)?

This theory is viable one reason is it does look slightly humanoid and the opposable thumb but I think the best reasoning is that in one of Wu’s video logs he say it can change in an instant, from calm to aggressive, only humans really posses this kind of emotion and how it changes so quickly. I also think it may be part snake of some sort, burying snakes see heat explaining it’s heat vision and it’s heat vision is probably why it is attracted and distracted by fire.

For the 2nd E750 heres a theory. Found out something called parthenogenesis, no males required for the offspring. Like Whiptail Lizards as possible gene splicing.

What sold me was it's attraction to fire. Fire was monumental for early humans, without it we wouldn't have any technology beyond basic tools. The way the Scorpius kept being drawn to fire was strange behavior for an animal.

All of the hybrids have opposable thumbs. Additionally, Indominus Rex killed for sport, Indoraptor behaved like a human when luring Wheatley into a trap, and Scorpius Rex - again - could move its arms almost like a human.

The body of the scorpios-rex reminded me of the Xenomorph from Alien. Everything from the body's look, the way it moved when climbing, and when it roared at the camp. Also, the Xenomorph has human characteristics, as they take the likeness of their host. Hence, why it looks like a humanoid.

I always wondered myself if the Scorpius Rex was part Human. It actually reminds me of an original concept I created called the Shinigamiosaurus. It's part of a series that I'm working on called Project Prehistorica. Basically its about a scientist who decides that he wants to create flourishing ecosystem on an Earth like planet where prehistoric creatures from various eras coexist with one another. Over time, the butterfly effect occurs and the creatures evolved into these descendants which are really cool! You should check it out sometime it's a lot of fun!

No, I DEFINITELY thought/think this monster was part human, especially considering that human/dinosaur hybrids was a theme that was considered for JP 4! I think this theme was realized in this season. Also, it kind of looks part human. That face looks primate-like. This seems unlikely, it was roaring at the lightning for the same reason it stared at the tree I assume. Also canon wise, would Wu for his VERY FIRST HYBRID attempt to make it part human? no. a beast part human would not even be a good attraction and shut down by activist so no, logically the answer is no. I could however see it having monkey DNA explaining the movement.

Camp Creatacious basically confirmed a jurrasic world 5, since 4 said there would be no hybrids, but when Doctor wu said something about the Indominus when he was with Brooklyn, that basically coming firms that the Indominus must be returning

I think this was their clever callback to the original Jurassic Park 4 script of having human-Dino hybrids, mostly due to the posture it roars in and the fact that the lighting as well as haunting roar give it a sort of freak of nature like feeling

In e750 DNA sample I believe it would be Velociraptor,T Rex, Carnotaurus, Spinosaurus, gigantosaurus, stegosaurus,ankylosaurus, quoll,scorpion fish and human you can tell where I’m coming from by freezing it in different episodes at different positions

I also agree. It looks to have poseable thumbs along with the body structure of the creature being more upright. I can't tell if this makes any difference or not, but when the creature roars, the jaw line opens differently. It opens more human like than Dino like.

This was actually a really interesting video and concept which I think is actually true, there were so many scenes which made this hybrid look like it was a human who turns into a dinosaur (similar to a werewolf, I know that’s not accurate at all but it’s how I can best describe it) I really hope this isn’t the last time we’ve seen this Dino because it quickly got to the top of my ‘most interesting Dino’ list

In Primeval, the future predator saw by sound, not infrared. Hence why it reacted to the beluga whale, and the shattering glass with how sound reverberates off it all. One of the images you showed earlier was actually from the Yautja predator in "The Predator" series. So close but no cigar on that one, but still an interesting concept

I was going to bring up the concept art for JP 4! Because when I saw E750 (ScorpiusRex) roar like that, I had to same thoughts. That there was some kind of human DNA in it. Even the arms look human like too! Season 3 was so good but it was so unsettling seeing the ScorpiusRex act the way it did.

The fact that it's jaws open in a sharp c is very weird as all animals open their mouths like a v except humans which I think it does have human DNA in it.

Just for the record, the human dinosaur hybrid concept art was not connected to the first script that John Sayles wrote. It was for a supposed “2nd script” that had hybrids with guns on their arms.

There are some dinosaurs like Iguanodon that have an opposable digit on their front leg, but it’s more of a pinky finger than a thumb, and very different in appearance.

I do think it’s part human and i do think so is the indominous rex. Back in 2015 someone i forgot the name of and can’t find the video either, made a video about the possible dinosaurs that could make up the indominous rex. They included T. rex and velociraptor obviously, Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Sarcosuchus, Therizinosaurus and i like to add Majungosaurus. They also add that in the movie owen says “it’s killing for sport” the only species ever known to hunt for sport or fun is humans. Also the indoraptor. it’s part indominous rex so obviously, but the ginger guy forgot his name said. “Ladies and Gentlemen please be warned, this is the perfect blend between the two most dangerous creatures that have ever walked the earth.” Velociraptor is very dangerous in the franchise and it’s part raptor obviously but the most dangerous creature to EVER walk the earth is humans. Humans have caused the most extinctions as a species. You get mass extinctions but as a species humans have killed millions if not billions of animals over the 200,000 years they have existed for.
