After an update from the sales department regarding bringing the show on a cruise ship, James and the group start to make plans.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

It's unique. It stands out in all the other bullshit. It's almost like an old radio show, only we get to see them. This shouldn't go back to the same format that's dominated for decades.Something special will die. Somebody needs to do something. An online movement needs to start to get their attention.

I prefer this type of opening. Makes me feel like im there participating rather then watching a show. Like hanging with the buds. Rather have this than a script.

James made the show like a sitcom where we the audience would actually tune in what's gonna happen on the next episode because they will create or start something that would actually leave the audience laughing and wanting for more. The Interesting Life of Susan, Guillermo's baby, Patti Lupone and Dave's Friendship,. Now this Cruise endeavor. We are all committed to know what's gonna happen next! 😂

The anticipation for a week's worth of shows recorded on a cruise ship is definitely a draw. Honestly, they can't go back to the old James-only format now that we've gotten to know the crew so I intimately, even if they wanted to. People would be kept awake at night, wondering... Is Lauren still pissed off about stuff? Is Ian still keeping his weight down? Is Guillermo still passing around special apple juice? Did Nick eventually cut his hair, after all? It's sort of become an addictive soap opera, really.

I like this format because it feels like James is able to enjoy himself with his friends and not entertain an audience. James and the crew are naturally funny, and them being in a comfortable space makes me feel like I’m part of the show. . . . . I know it might be a bit controversial but I started watching The late late show when Craig was a host. And I always loved how relaxed he was... so this type of format reminds me of that show (especially because of the sound effects box) and how everyone was having fun at their job and not making “fun” their job. They probably will get an audience back because that’s how talk shows work but I seriously hope James will keep interacting with the crew as he is now.

every other i keep saying the same thing like most of people here, this format HAS TO STAY. i didn't like this show prepandemic and right now its the best late show out there. the vibe is so genuine and natural + the on going gags... pure gold and reading most of the other comments, eveyone loves it. Keep it up guys and don't change!

So true! I'm kind of glad that I didn't initially give James a chance because I liked Craig Ferguson. In quarantine I've been binging all the episodes of the Late Late Show. James and his crew are the best!

Agree completely. Pre-pandemic the jokes were too scripted and were not funny. Now, I never miss a show. Pure gold. Seth Meyers is the same, although I did find him funny pre-pandemic. He and James are the break-out stars of pandemic late night. (on the other hand, Colbert is dreadful. I have completely stopped watching. And both Jimmy's were fun at the beginning but since going back to the studio, the shows are unbearable to watch. The exaggerated fake laughs from the crew are so annoying, but I digress 😔)

The Late Late Show is basically a sitcom now with real characters and we love it! Pete's fins up and t-shirts Reggie eating salad during the taping Ian's comedy Lauren calling out the bs Dave and Patti LuPone Susan's life Who is Rob behind the mask? Nick as the down to earth exec who is passing down secrets from upstairs Now we want to know if they're going on a cruise, what did the CBS execs say, what's Pete wearing today? Comedy Gold.

I love the addition of Nick in the studio this week. It's kind of amazing that even in his position of having to rein in this awesome and absurd crew, he seems like a really delightful human who's pretty game for being in the mix with all their ridiculousness. I truly love the chemistry of this whole work fam. I wish they'd had that convo about Rob's vow renewal scheme on air...I can only imagine... Haha. 😄 I have to agree that the scaled back version of this show has truly become one of my favorite daily mood boosts!

🛳JAMES ... ADVICE from a real sea captain ... the cruise ship horn works! FYI : International Rules say that when the ship operator “sounds” the horn “three short blasts” that means the ship is in reverse. This may be useful for do overs. One long blast means that your ship is underway. Nice show.

to be fair, would an audience hamper this format? they'd sit on the rows behind the cameras and staff anyway so if they're fine just sitting there and letting the crew do their thing it shouldn't matter much.

This is the highlight of every morning. Nick is amazing, I hope he keeps coming on the show every day, the crew are hilarious. Definitely want to be picked to go on the cruise (it'll be like Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, they did a show on a Cruise). Fins Up!!!!

Nick B. The Senior VP of late-night & the other Execs. You have hit a GOLD MINE with this format. - LOVE how all staff are laughing partly at OMG. And partly OH NO don't focus on ME! But if it happens the crew is good to go and laughing the whole time which makes it even funnier. We all have a bit if HAM in us. Keep this format I so look forward each night to watching the show. PS loved Tiff Haddish the other night and now I watch Kids n the talking wigs and little cowboy.... Mmmmoooommmmm do I have a brother??

I can't remember a late night show until this one, that you can genuinely see how much fun they are having. I agree with other comments it does feel like we're sitting there in the studio with friends and everyone is having a blast. I don't know how being so far away but one day hope to be in audience watching

The adults (Rob & Nick) are trying to calm them down reign them in to no avail. Best best best TV there is and best KZfaq also. Please do not change the format. We don't care about guests or an audience. You absolutely don't need either! And please do the show on a cruise ship!! 🛳🚢😁

I watch all the late night monologues on KZfaq the next day and I will say I save this one untill the end because it is the best one out there. I never watched James before the pandemic but it seems like I started at a great time because this format is the best one on late night. They are having so much fun and it shows. When you go back to an audience, which I guess it will, please keep the banter going as if the audience is not there.
