Everything this update should’ve been is what we got plus: -more tendril colours (like red for example) -ability to swap between spider arms and tendrils during traversal (L1 + triangle/X) & while parrying -more weather options besides overcast -higher difficulty option for NG+ -A few more added abilities/skills like we got in Miles Morales -Maybe 1 or 2 new gadgets to choose from after reaching the required ultimate lvl -1 or 2 new crimes scenarios you can encounter in the open world post game completion -1 or 2 new sides missions segueing into the 1st dlc we’ll be getting at a later date Considering it took them almost 5 months to deliver this relatively simple update for a modern AAA game, I think all these added features could’ve been implemented alongside what we got

I would’ve liked to see weather options like: -Light rain -Thunderstorms -Light snow -Snowstorms -Windy -Sandy terrain (like it was after the first mission against Sandman) -Dense fog -Symbiotic terrain (like it was after Venom was taking over NYC) All whilst having the ability to choose what time of day it is during these weather phenomenas

The ones id really want to see is: more weather options, swapping between spider arms & tendrils, more tendril colours, and a higher difficulty for ng+. If that’s all they add, it would go an extremely long way for replay ability!

I mean 5 months for a ps5 game that looks this good to get this many changed to the actual game is real quick. Having to change every scene to fit the suit your wearing and tendril color is insane to me. The people at insomiac must be working there asses off (not to mention the upcoming wolverine game they have to work on)

@@TheoneShadow2728 it’s not every single cutscene but the majority. Ur points are definitely fair, but they most likely had them done a while ago and took these 5 months to polish everything. Not every cutscene was suit locked when sm2 launched either. Also, not every scene has the white tendril colours when you have that option enabled. Most of them are actually still black during the black suit portion of the game and having it switch between the 2 looks inconsistent at times. I completely agree that the game looks phenomenal, but it’s been in the works for 5 years with Manhattan’s section of the map being reused assets from the first and second entry. All in all, they did a great job with this update, but you can’t deny that the majority of these features should’ve already been in the game at launch and that some of these additional features I mentioned should’ve been added in this update. I’m not complaining since they did get hacked, but I’m hopeful they’ll be adding these missing features at a later update

When i Heard about the Golden Gadgets i was so hyped. I thought It would maybe boost the stats of the web shooters, making them more powerful, with more shots in It, or maybe unlock the Gadgets from the First game, instead, the gadget turns Yellow and shoots Golden squares with a Spark, a feature nobody asked for. If you Approach a crime in Stealth, Spider-Man shouts, he has no quite dialogue to stay undetected, which breaks the immersion, Also you save the same old guy with headphones.

Gameplay is so good that ive already played and beaten it twice - just adds at least one or 2 more for me lol. I do wish there was a harder difficulty mode tbh or that enemies scaled even more in subsequent plays

They need to add an option to choose between Symbiote and Anti Venom for abilities so when we do it automatically locks the suit with the surge rage because when we change the tendril colors after getting the black suit it still shows anti venom abilities and not symbiote abilities. Also when in surge mode the black suit doesnt change to the symbiote suit like before the update came out we always change into anti venom surge. This has to get fixed asap it's really ruining my gameplay unfortunately!

@fantapro23 no the bare minimum would be to add new game plus and mission replay and call it a day but they added a bunch of extra features that people wanted like touching up the raimi suit and adding ultimate levels and extra unlocks for ng+ that the other games never even had. Plus, they are still actively relaying things to their dev team that people are listing. I won't blame Insomniac for Sony rushing them they are trying to undo some of the damage done by Sony here. I bet in a year from now, this game will have a ton of features that weren't going to be in the game if it wasn't for people asking for them plus dlc mission packs

I’m grateful to just have gotten anything at all especially when fixing and updating the ASM2 suit and getting a game entirely I didn’t expect anything more but a few new changes nothing big it’s been 5 months give them time for the dlc no one has patience no one knows what they are dealing with at the studio . I’m glad to have a ngp until then I’m patient to see what will be in store for the dlc rather then keep rushing them if you aren’t a game developer how could you possibly understand not every game studio can be fast as others especially when you know you can’t please everyone or what needs to be done to while at the studio give the devs some appreciation at least that we got a sequel and getting another at that

You cant parry using the spiderarms in NG+ which is frustrating. Feels weird parrying with tendrils before Peter gets the symbiote. Has anyone else noticed this?

@@Youngcb17 you talking about the cutscene where he tears off the Symbiote right? That one was ruined for me. Plus the one with the arms vs Sandman are the white and blue no matter what suit you have on. Also the Anti-Venom Tendrils come out when Peter is trying to hold Venom using the church as an anchor. They really dropped the ball. The Symbiote storyline is my favorite Spider-Man story and they ruined it. They ruined it and I'm leaving. It was good until the 3rd act. It all happens so fast.

When I first played the game upon release, I was having the best time of my life for those two weeks it dropped. 100% it twice in less than 28 hours. After that, there was nothing left to do. Like genuinely nothing so I uninstalled and moved on. This update should’ve happened a lot sooner and in my opinion, it’s not worth a reinstall. If they added DLC story missions and more new content, it would’ve been worth getting back into the game but other than that, just a long waited quality of life update that took way too long

I love the fact that symbiote surge doesn’t change the suit. It makes Peter seem more in tune with the symbiote to the point it is part of him completely

I don't agree with you there sorry. They need to install an option to choose between symbiote and anti venom when using abilities and that way the suits can automaclly be locked in and using the surge mode the black suit changes to the symbiote suit like in the first playthrough when we first get the black suit and beating the game before the update came out. Changing the tendril colors to black while still seeing anti venon abilities and not symbiote abilities and using rage mode doesn't change the black suit to the symbiote suitin the abilities menu is really annoying. I won't contue the game till they make a fix like this. :(

By the time this update came out I'd lost interest in the game tbh - a lot of the feeling of sparseness and having nothing to do when you're finished the story mode is still there (and this wasn't a problem in the first game which had all the enemy bases at launch). I also think purely from a story perspective the Anti-Venom idea being a seemingly permanent feature is a huge mistake creatively - it dilutes the whole point of Peter overcoming the symbiote and on a superficial level it just changes the whole powerset of Spider-Man too much...his primary abilities now have nothing to do with spiders! Interested to see what DLC Insomniac come out with but generally speaking Spider-Man 2 is the weakest of the three games.

Something I have to say is that insomniac makes fucking ass lenses for the suits like for the tasm-2 suit and the tasm-1 and the iron spider mcu it’s fucking ass.

Legit, not many people talk about this. The lenses on the TASM2 suit are way thicker than they should be and they genuinely look like the Ultimate Spider-Man lenses. The iron spider lenses are just...wtf.

Next up, Where's the DLC? thing is that they didn't include this from the first because they wanted to keep the players busy while they can focus on the next actual UPDATES (such as DLC) and other games. TBH, this update is nothing extraordinary, you can easily enjoy the game even without it. Modders already make new skins and suits for games nowadays.

To be honest they kinda dropped the ball with updates for this game. 06 months for literally just old features, from previous games, with nothing new, while still missing features from previous games is really just lmao. Additionally, 06 months, without any new suits man. Miles's new suit is A$$, paid suits are A$$. Why are they so persist on adding A$$ suits, instead of comic book suits, or just any good looking suits in general - Future Foudantion, Scarlet Spider 2, Stealth big time.... They just recolor symbiote suits, and yet they dont even change the tendril color to match their new color, and it aint much, literally just an additional Red color. Where is the option to have Spider Arms parry - something that already is in the game ? What is up with the back of the belt part of Iron Spider Armour suits with light peeks out of his A$$ ? Like bruh... At this point of time in SM1 , we already have at least 6 new suits, with 2 DLCs out....

The amount of people complaining baffles me. Like yes, we should've gotten all of this at launch, but we're still getting it. Like you're still getting what you payed for, you just have to be patient with it. Like dawg, they're still adding shit (shit that you wanted), and you're still complaining. Honestly no, the update is not worth another whole playthrough, and it was not worth the 6 month wait. A month or 2, yes, 6 months no. I put it down and honestly. It’s not that hype anymore, not after 6 months. In all honestly, with what they added, the game STILL lacks endgame content, the content in the first game was much better and longer lastly. At least at the end of the first game, you had prisoners bases and saber bases with WAVES. In this game, the bases doesn’t have any waves. Plus on top of all that, I’m playing Helldivers and FF7.. Then at the end of March we have Dragon Dogmas 2 and Rise of Ronin, gonna be spending time playing those instead of playing this.. once again if it was added sooner, then yeah, this long, nah. Abs once again, the miles suits are no bueno

This maybe a minor problem but i don't like the way Peter act all friendly when you have the black suit on. I want him to act all bloodlusted when you have the black suit on. It was awesome detail they added during the story.
