No one really knows, our window might be just getting open and we wouldnt know until we see them on the field. You can see the case of the atlanta falcons when they reached the superbowl, same core as the year before when they went 8-8, it took Ryan feeling more comfortable and elevating his game, we could do that with the upgrade from pete to kubiak or it could take till next season. What we know is that the front office is making the right moves.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. These two clowns are always talking about 2006/2017. In 2006 the Saints added; Reggie Bush, Roman Harper, Jahri Evans, Zach Strief, Marques Colston, Drew Brees In 2017 the Saints added; Marshon Lattimore, Ryan Ramczyk, Alvin Kamara, Trey Hendrickson These guys keep looking for one off season to add 5+ long term starters. And that's not how it really works. It's an anomaly and either they're not smart enough to understand or in denial about that. Or maybe they think because the Saints did it twice in a little over a decade that it's just a matter of time before it happens again. Maybe that's why they obsessively talk up late round picks like Rattler, Means, and Ezirim because they NEED TO BELIEVE that it's going to happen again...the Saints MAGIC way...

Carr, Olave, Granderson, Shaheed, Bresee, Fuaga, McCoy...that's the "core". And at least two of those guys won't be on the team in 2026. But COREs turnover every few years. How on earth is old man Taysom Hill part of any future core for any team. Crazy talk. When people talk about a core they're usually just talking QB/WR/RB and that combination isn't enough..

1. The maximum length you can legitimately plan for any “Core” group of players is 3 years. That’s the “modern” NFL they all want to talk about, but then not acknowledge. 2. To have a “Core” you have to have an “identity”, to have an identity you have to win & make the playoffs. It’s impossible to define a “Core” or “identity” prior to any achievement. If the Saints win the SuperBowl this season, suddenly Carr & about 10 other players would be part of the Saints great “core” of players. If they miss the playoffs again, they won’t have a “core”, even though all of the players are the same in both scenarios, what defines them is what they achieve.

Players of the new regime have not proven themselves. The new Saints team has to find their identity, and the core will form themselves. This year is a make or break year due to the aging players and Dennis Allen

I don't think the window is closing on the core players because the new players that were brought in to build around those core players will become core players themselves. And the wheels of core players will keep on turning in a positive direction. It's too soon to hit the panic button after investing into a high caliber QB like Carr. If they win this year and go deep in the playoffs, the core players will be solidified and this conversation or point will become moot.

What’s up with the olave hate recently? I saw ah guy says he’s one of the most overrated receivers in the league because he had 138 targets and didn’t have the amount of yards like Dj Moore had. The same guy also had garret Wilson as a top 10 receiver but last year garret Wilson had 170 targets with 1042 yards on 95 catches. His excuse for Wilson was no qb but he had Carr as the 27 ranked qb. Crazy.

Some of these talk shows need to calm down. Yes, last years was disappointing but there is so much doom and gloom in the Saints media right now. I can't believe I'm listening to two Saints guys say they have no emotional attachments to ANY players right now?! I have freakin loved watching Taysom Hill playing football in NO, one of my favorite football players. Will we win anything while he's here? Probably not, still doesn't affect how I feel about the player. Same with Demario. Lighten up my boys! Let's geaux!

We have a great team. And a great defensive coach. If kubiak proves to be what I think he is we have a great offensive coach who came in with some great guys who r making My guys excited to play football!! 😎😎 C'mon man. Ok Dennis Allen didn't know how to go about getting in Pete's ass and firing Pete. I still feel like Pete was working for Payton whole time. But Allen trusted Pete. Allen needs offensive coaches that will take over and not need him to hold their hand or coach them on coaching offense. Allen is great at defense!!! If kubiak is successful leave Dennis tf alone

@@geoffhoutman1557 LOL. The missed winning field goal in Green Bay(who also made the playoffs with a 9-8 record). The so called suck QB's that was all MOBILE QB's(the Saints weakness). Going into the season with the worst O Line in football(resulting in Carr's early injuries). Let's not forget that Carmichael was all talk and the WORST play caller in the league. Yeah we had good luck last season 👍.

Front offices strategy clearly isn't working, they need to change strategy if they're drafting rotational unrefined players. They need to try draft technically sound ready starters in the early rounds. They do not have a core, they need to find it.

All who have contributed little to nothing except for Alontae who was also a raw prospect coming out. When there's a Tui Tuipulotu, we pick a Foskey, and it hurst us almost every single time.

I see both sides. I love the Kubiak signing but this whole experiment we call the Saints still feels like an ego-driven thing with Mickey insisting on keeping Carr and Allen. I know there is plenty to like but I just don't think we can ever be all that with Loomis being a cock.
