I paddled out with the Boost electric surfboard fin to see if it actually works.
I brought Chris Wells along to get another perspective. Thanks to @boostsurfi for sending me one to try and also @ho stevie for the warm wetsuit.

Haha I was actually out that day when you guys were filming this!!! I will say there were quite a few that day that I narrowly missed catching, interesting little gadget - thanks for the review! Ironically, I’ve also taken a couple lessons from Sabinka…the lady you chatted with at the end.

Seriously crazy your show casing the boost fin. An older dude has one in the lineup today. He told me it's the only way he could catch waves. Totally cool

It looks like the fin would have some drag ( although that would be a reasonable trade off for someone who may have physical challenges)

Did you turn the motor off WHILE you were on the wave ? Or was the motor still on as you were riding the wave?

I really really want to know can the boost fin be retro fitted to a foil board????? Please consider taking up this quest for us poor non e foilers

I don't mess with this. I see what people are saying but I feel like it adds a paywall to catching waves. Also I know they talked about older folks using it but this could easily be abused by the the middle aged guy who just wants more waves
