Here in South Australian countryside near the sea, we have a huge mostly open sided shed which has a 6” white poly pipe running from the cottage gutter to the 3,000 litre water tank, so I hang his wetsuit inside out on the pipe which is about head height, with it folded at the waist over the pipe and I hose the suit down and leave it there. 😊The next day I turn it over and leave it. It’s under cover with tons of fresh air. Turn it when one side is dry, then turn it right side out After this, now that it is autumn and cooler I bring the suit indoors and lay it over a clothes rack.

If you are an "absolute beginner", please learn about surf etiquette (which really is SAFETY) before you try surfing. You would not expect to just drive a car on the freeway without driver training... this is the same. A great, FREE, KZfaq video about this is "9 rules of etiquette every surfer should know" by Barefoot Surf. Check it out! (P.S. many so-called "surf schools" do NOT teach enough about this, so please educate yourself. Thanks!)

How could you stand there and film that hot garbage for that long. You should get a new hobby

I got a 9’0” Mitsven Magic on craigslist too 😂 all of my boards are from craigslist. You can buy barely used boards and save $200-$700

That was funny I feel like the two kooks tryna throw water at each other are the ones I should avoid on the lineup childish, seriously we are already surfing I don’t see how rage will always prevail if anything I love seeing surfers having good talk calling out each other properly, saying where they’re heading . But honestly it’s pretty tough w a large effin crowd like that Id just skip days , weekdays are heaven , weekends are kooky . 🤣

It's closest to me. I tend to keep it simple when the waves are average or less.

Did she get that Chilli in Central Europe or US? It's my go to brand I got when I lived in Sydney but keep buying the boards even after moving. James is the nicest guy.

I also like this series. With boards being so expensive and everyone saying their latest model is the bomb, it's hard to figure out what's what sometimes. Also, Id like to see what fins people are using and what they didn't like about their previous board. Keep up the good work Brad, thanks. Any more Malibu massive mayhem vids coming?

Need at least a little swell for me to head back to Malibu. It doesn't get crazy until it's at least waist high. Hopefully soon

The first edition trim does not make any sense at ~$7k more than a GX overtrail. The basic “Land Cruiser” trim and even 1958 are growing on me a little, I think I like the LC styling better than 6th gen 4Runner and maybe even than the GX.

Could you do a video on dropping in vs snaking? It seems people (and this video) think they are interchangeable. They are 2 different things Also a vid on how putting your boards on the roof “Fins Forward” is so important. In fact , back in the day, they could tell who the valley surfers were coming through Malibu canyon based on how their boards were mounting. I’m so strict about this I named my company Fins Forward Enterprises 😄

Brad, you're like if Bruce Brown and Warren Miller had a baby... cool video, narration and a proper description of surfing in those parts of California. It brought back some memories of living San Diego. That was many years before Covid! I wonder if it's busier now? What do you think?

The edge creates friction, which creates aerated water, giving the back of your board more buoyancy, also vectoring the water out from the tail giving more drive.

Channels only work when it’s glassy and you rip. For everyone else it’s an added feature to help your shaper get a new sprinter van.

Channels rule!!! When done right!
@kentbelfire3 күн бұрын
depends on the type of channel IMO.
@gkenan19813 күн бұрын
Disagree. You don’t need to rip to feel benefit of channel bottoms. Anyone riding a twin fin with channels will immediately notice the extra grip it has. Sort of like having an extra fin but without the drag.
