Agreed My favorite alteration is Gandalf speaking to Pippin during the siege of Gondor End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what? GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

@BringDHouseDown
@BringDHouseDown 9 ай бұрын
@@samwisehuluberlu2210 Sam's speech grounds the reason why you shouldn't give up ultimately because there's still good in this world worth fighting for. Aragorn's speech is for a moment of crisis when facing ridiculous odds, to rally the spirits of everyone present who had given up hope or were afraid of losing their lives, because they were losing who they are as people(In this case, warriors), it is a speech to re-ignite their will to fight, reminding them of the things Sam spoke of in his speech, so it is a combination of that speech's message and a new one on top of that because in this situation the men were losing their will to fight when faced with such odds...it is a speech for the hour of twilight or the seeming end, the very last fight and hurdle that will be more difficult than all others combined...it is that sort of speech for the final battle. Theoden's was a speech to remove all fear, to willingly ride into the abyss with no hope of winning, only to make those who brought you to this point pay for what they've done and drag as many of them as you can down to hell with you. "Death!" was the battle cry, as if to embrace it and not be afraid of it, not anymore. While Sam's speech calls out to the love you feel for people and things in the world And Theoden's speech calls out to the soul of the warrior seeking to die on their feet with one final battle cry. Aragorn's speech calls out to the will of humanity to not give up no matter the odds till the very end, even when standing in front of the very gates of Mordor(Hell).

I honestly thought there would never be a speech that could better the 1 in Braveheart, but, I was wrong. Viggo Mortensen's speech, and the delivery, in this film was just incredible. Every time I watch it, I get chills, and all the little hairs on my arms stand to attention. Honestly, I cannot imagine anyone else playing Aragorn and doing a better job. Viggo's performance was truly amazing!❤ I think the fact that Viggo stayed in character in-between shots is part of the reason his performancewas so good. Viggo was so invested and entrenched in his role that, in between shots, Peter Jackson managed to go for 30 minutes calling him Aragorn before Viggo noticed, which, to me, just goes to show how far he went into his character. But when you watch his performance, it was obviously the right thing to do because he didn't put a toe wrong in the whole trilogy. And speaking of his toe, he actually broke it during the scene where he kicked an Orc helmet, thinking Merry and Pippin had died in the Orc slaughter. The scream he did was real, but he didn't show or complain about the pain until the scene ended. Peter Jackson later said that he was really impressed at how great Viggo's scream of loss and pain was, but that was before he knew it was an actual scream of pain. Now that is some serious dedication, to stay in character throughout that scene having just suffered a painful accident. Plus, how gorgeous did he look in this trilogy? People always talk about "Legolss syndrone", but I think Viggo had it too. He definitely looked better in these films than I've seen him look in other films. Even if his character was "covered in blood and dirt" a lot. He was still hot af😆☺🥵

Okay but can we talk how gorgeous Brego looks in this scene? Like, I was around my 7th time watching LOTR when i actually paid attention to Brego and my gosh is he a beautiful horse.. I know Aragorn's speech by heart now, so every time it comes up i don't even listen to the words anymore I'm just like: "look at the horses"

Not just a great speech in itself, but the culmination of Aragorn's hard achievement over the three films of finding his self-belief and embrace of the crucial role he was meant for. ❤️💪🏻

"Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stay with you." But yes, this speech is very inspiring, too in a different way. So many great quotes in the series!

This is my favorite speech. Aragorn empathizes with his soldiers and understands the fear in their eyes, but reassured them that today is not the day that men fall. Theoden’s speech is also amazing, there’s something so inspiring about everyone yelling “DEATH!!!” together, especially with the adjustment to Rohan’s music theme in that scene.
