@@winnerrevived7497 nobody of intelligence wants to be worshipped as an intellectual that makes others seem dumb. Also to everyone, you have these types of conclusions in you, to listen to these before you reach your own would rob you of the profound realization and understanding of your and our place is this life.

He said no one is more intelligent than you are, if they are then what good is their intelligence doing for you? Inform yourself about a wide range of information and stuff you are not intelligent and sophisticated in to become a more empowered individual.

Terence was such a unique person, imagine what the world would be like if his ideas were accepted worldwide since he began speaking and if the world embraced the psychedelic experience with open arms instead of with fear and propaganda. Once you use psychedelics even one time it's so easy to see how all these constructs society has created like countries and governments and religions are all just tools used to keep us in line and in order when in reality the bigger picture is missed and the bigger picture is that we are all just human beings looking for the same thing, we all want love and acceptance, we all have hopes and dreams, and all these constructs do is divide us and turn us against each other and make us hate each other. When you break it all down, we all only have this 1 life and than its over and when we die it's not going to matter if we were on the Left or Right, Republican or Democrat, Gay or Straight, pro war or anti war, none of it matters and for some reason the vast majority of people don't see it and people like Terence Mckenna, Timothy Leary, Ram Dass all try to educate but sadly it's usually too scary for people to even consider that their is another reality alongside our own that is always going on but can only be accessed through the use of these tools. I really wish more people knew his work, we need another psychedelic revolution. Thank you for keeping his work alive. 🤗🫂

@1:08:37 … ‘the entire experience of human history is a psychedelic experience’… my feelings precisely: the world we live in is as chaotic, cruel, intense, sublime, ridiculous, and maddeningly beautiful as the inner/other worlds we visit with DMT, psilocybin, or whatever means one uses to journey.

Maybe growing complexity actually perfectly following second law of thermodynamics. The degree of uncertainty could actually go up in Human enterprise as more systems emerge, their structure become more and more complex, harder to predict, more uncertain. And what’s interesting - entropy of isolated systems left to spontaneous evolution cannot decrease, as they always arrive at a state of thermodynamic equilibrium where the entropy is highest at the given internal energy, therefore our ability to find new sources of energy pushes our civilization to greater levels of complexity.

Disagree they know exactly what to do I marvel and appreciate your INTELLECT but the comment that they dont know what to do is akin to saying that one that assembles something does not know how to disassemble it. First off they relinguish their entitlement to show and prive their intent to the engagement Of actual solutions

I completely disagree with the premise that science, as in the way he uses it in this video: the entire Western value system, strips away teleological purpose. The purpose is to find the truth, regardless of your feelings about it, by stripping away your biases, assumptions, cultural relativism, etc. The hero in the modern Western mythos is the one that challenges ages old tradition and presumption, backed by vested interests, to bring about a new perspective that is closer to describing the world as it is. The biggest challenge we face is an intelligence issue. While the hero of Ancient Greece was a hero in the physical sense, and therefore the challenge was one of strength, today's quest for truth is an intelligence challenge, and the demands such a telos makes is too much for the average person of today, thus the average individual is going to feel alienated from this quest. It's this alienation that produces this accusation that the Western value system "strips away all purpose." The second big challenge is also an intelligence issue, but in a different sense. There are a great many people who are intelligent enough to understand this quest, but not so intelligent that they don't pervert it with an assumption of Hegelian dialectic, where there is no "truth" and ideas and ideologies are just in a constant and evolving battle for supremacy against other ideas. People want to attribute this idea to Marx, but it wasn't Marx's idea, it was Hegel's (and perhaps Fichte's really), and it's this idea that is at the root of our declining sense of purpose. The Hegelian dialectic idea just strips down every idea down into its social/political/historical attributes, which naturally leads to the accusation that the originator of the idea is just biased and trying to advance their ideological demographic's causes without even evaluating the idea in terms of its truth or utility toward the truth. So I do not think that the Western value system strips away teleological purpose. It's just hard to access for a large portion of the population, and perverted for lesser purposes by another large portion, the latter of which is no different than ages past where people would pervert the religious telos for their own purposes. What the Western system needs more than anything is a way to connect common people to it as well as a recognition of its internal corrupting influences.
