What a treasure in Dr. RC Sproul. He sure is truly missed

Wise words from a wise man. Thanks be to God for RC Sproul and the gift God anointed him with. RC was a righteous man of the Lord who invested his life to share the good news of the Gospel with all who had ears to hear.

We focus on them leaving the garden but God sought to reconcile us from the beginning. We can never be far from the love of God.

Adam and Eve attempted to create their own covering using fig leaves. But God showed them that a life was required to cover their sin. It was the first sacrifice performed (when giving them clothes) portraying from that moment what was going to be required from them until the Perfect atonement would come. Abel had the revelation that what was required was a life. Cain once again used leaves and fruits as an atonement. And was rejected. The fig leaf is a type of religion, a man made attempt to make a covering under his own righteousness, but the only Thing God will accept is the Blood and Life of Jesuschrist, our atonement, applied in each one of us.

Dr. Sproul was such a gift from God. Here in Italy, where there is so much spiritual darkness and confusion on the gospel, we desperately need the kind of doctrinal clarity on the person and work of Christ that Dr. Sproul taught in America for decades.

I was just reading Gen 3 about 15 minutes ago. Loved this.

This was brilliant. Just like John MacArthur, R.C. always answers straight from the Bible and not from fanciful notions.

It will take an eternity to fully understand what Christ achieved on the cross, fortunately we have it.

This exposition is amazing. The cover of the blood of atonement! Wow!!!

I remember reading this about 30 years ago. I remember praying & asking God to expound scripture to me. Then I saw this. I asked myself; Why did God do that.

I wonder when/if RC realized his voice would carry on long after his death.

Also important to realise that God made them clothes of animal skins. Those animals had to be sacrificed to provide their skins.
