@@petercarty1 I think they have rubbers that absorb the bumps and subsequent friction but we’ve never fitted a set to a car with pan roof so unfortunately i can’t be sure .. send Reg to b.doolan@fitzpatricksgarages.ie and I’ll ask parts to see if there is a set to match the Reg 🙂

@@shax232 if you go for the middle spec are the top spec, it usually does!

@@doolanbrian so there is none for the base spec? My main issue with the civic is that I’d like a middle/high spec 1.4 civic as I live in London where a 1.4 engine would be perfect. Sadly it seems middle and top spec civics are limited to the 1.8 petrol only which I don’t think will be very good for driving in London

@@shax232 ah ok 👍 makes sense .. the 1.8 is as fuel efficient as the 1.4 from my experience , the 1.8 is under less pressure when accelerating so it tends to not need as much pedal down while accelerating 🙂👍 is 1.8 a problem for ULEZ ?

@@doolanbrian the 1.8 petrol is ulez compliant thankfully, main issue is the insurance is quite a bit more expensive on the 1.8 than the 1.4. Im a young driver (21) so bigger size engines seem to be very expensive to insure as opposed to the smaller engines. Are there any other hatchbacks you would recommend for a young driver like me in London? I currently drive a 2010 fiesta 1.25 and I am looking for something bigger, better spec and a bit more powerful as I travel with family quite a lot

@@shax232 ok I got ya !! Well you could go with a civic and get a bluetooth kit fitted ??? It would then stream music etc .. civic is reliable .. i30 hyundai , Kia ceed , Toyota auris all pretty go too 🙂👍

Honestly i cant remember the exact engine revolutions at those speeds but i feel they would be higher than 2.5k.... in my opinion the 1.4 will feel sluggish on the motorway, i would feel that the 1.8 is better for this and the 1.8 is also easier on fuel too !! Hope that helps !

140kmh at 3500rpm. It sounds a lot but due to good aerodynamics and insulation of the cabine it's even bettet then some other cars like Avensis at same speed or VW Passat. Fully loaded two kids filled boot to the top Civic Tourer 1.8ivtec on a German Autobahn at average speed of 160kmh takes around 7.5-7.7 liters. This is only 1-1.2 liters more then VW 2.0tdi which takes around 6.5l with same driving. 2.0tdi you can save money until it starts to brake. Honda Civic 1.8 does not brake and on a long run these engines are better build quality then any out there.

This model did not, but usually the sport model do👍🙂
