The Phillies have won over 100 games three times in their history. And none of those seasons lead to a championship. This is a great team now, but what is gonna matter most is that they are great in October and November.

What he says about pitching is right. It’s not about speed of pitch, it’s about changing speeds and eye levels. That is what they do. Oh and Alec Bohm is showing you can drive in runs and be a productive hitter and not be a “home run” hitter

Hmmm...Mike Schmidt, Greg Lizinski, Gary Maddox, Manny Trio, Pete Rose, Larry Bowa, Richie Hebner, Bob Boone, Dell Unser, and a REALLY good pitching staff.......they beat George Brett and K.C. in 6 games, hard to beat that 1980 team.......

I just wish Ryan Howard was on this years team! I’ve seen the 80 team the 93 team and the 2008 team. All I want from this year’s team is a golden trophy in October!

Doesn't matter how good they are at this point. What matters is the team that is hot come playoff time. They won't be this good the whole year.

It’s the best team outta the gate. But it’s a long run. ‘93 (Sr year at Drexel) & ‘11 were my favorite teams. ‘80 & ‘08 were the champs, so I love them. But let’s reel it in like a big Mahi on your line.

This is the man that when our Phillies lost last year was going in almost cursing out all the players 🤦‍♂️ that they suck and they don’t deserve to be in the team. He was hitting last year too, and better, around .300. It was only in the postseason he couldn't even sniff a hit; but I can't really blame him considering he was a rookie vs elite mlb pitchers in the most intense games.

Slow down. Slow way down. The NL East is a Division where you have (2) 100 win teams and (3) 100 Loss teams in it. (Miami, Washington, Mets). So the Phillies are beating up teams they should. The story with the Phillies is like every Philadelphia team. What are you going to do in the Playoffs????? If this is the greatest team in Phillies history then show me a bleeping ring.

I think they will be winning it all. They have changed their approach at the plate. The starters are going deep into games , they are also keeping the ball down in the zone. I said when Strider got hurt they were gonna win the NL east.

I know that we live in the age of hyperbole. Everyone and everything are the greatest ever. While this team is one of the best in baseball, if you are going to compare them to the greatest Phillies teams ever, they need to win the WS BEFORE we start having this conversation. I will say, it is a fun team to watch.

To be the best team thell have to win a World Series or two . I guess you haven’t been around baseball much so let me tell you , it doesn’t take long for things to go bad . The fast start is good , I remember the Dodgers one year came out like gang busters , they were 30 & 10 first forty games and no one ever did catch them .

Why are people acting like they still have shit to prove? Of course we want a ring, but it’s not all about that. And this isn’t like it’s the pirates who are starting out this hot and leaving everyone stunned, this has been brewing for this particular phillie team for a few years now. It’s no shock to the real fans and we don’t need a ring to prove it. Braves didn’t get a ring last year but that doesn’t mean they weren’t still a good team who had more wins than us. I doubt their fans give a shit because they know what kind of team they have. So do we. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Slow down? Fuck that.

This is not the best team we had not yet at the beginning of the season I have to see at the end of the season and how many wins they end up with because the 09 and 10 was heck of a Phillies team can’t sayed the 08 because the 08 team was starting Gel for the 09 and 10 even thought we won in 08 so for me I can’t say this is the best team In franchise history we have to wait till the end of this year.
