I wish we had priests here like this one. One who dares raise his voice during a sermon, all we have in my local parish is "men of the world" priests with their endless whishy washy sweet talking that condones or even promotes all manner of modernist heresies. Lord please let this priest reep the rewards of his sermons in heaven

Belg I have lived forty years as an adult convert to evangelical Christianity. I didn't think there were any priests except the wishy washy men of the world. I am now seeing Catholic priests and laity who preach the word with conviction and passion, and they are pulling me in. I can't say I am a Protestant anymore. Fr. Goring is one of those voices who are beacons to me.

@@FrMarkGoring Hey Fr. Mark. I like your zeal - except when you seem to lose your temperance toward the end. However, I think the brush was too broad on this one. When you have a look at a World Youth Day crowd, for example, would you call the millions of people present and those who support in dioceses around the world an "evil generation"? I think you're talking about fallen away Catholics who have succumbed in a variety of ways to secularism and its lures. I would suggest this group probably won't be enticed to return by being referred to as an "evil generation", especially since you acknowledge rightly that you don't know if it's an evil generation - only the Lord does. Normal people normally respond to overwhelming love, not condemnation. Has any pope since Vatican II referred to a current generation as an evil generation? Arguably if a broad brush is to be used, every generation is an evil generation, in different ways from age to age. You also seem to be saying that private revelations will be some kind of evidence against fallen away Catholics, but the Church itself doesn't require belief in any private revelation, so that is at least confusing, right? Your questions about atheists getting into heaven has very much to do with poor understanding and education on the part of atheists, so the Church needs to continue its education mission, promoting evidence for the existence of God as a help to atheists. We certainly, as Pope Francis has shown us, can't assume that atheists can't make it to heaven, since the sin of atheism is only mortal if knowledge and freedom of will are present. Please help radical conservative Catholics, whose approach to Catholicism has led them to be outside the Church -as Pope Francis has acknowledged, to know that grave matter is not the same as mortal sin. May God bless us and every generation, and may God shine his Mercy on you.

Someone I met on Facebook told a story. This was decades ago because her kids are grown up now, but when her oldest was about 2, she had to have some very risky surgery on her heart. The doctor told her mother that the little girl’s chance of survival was only 5%. So she had the surgery and was kept sedated for a few days. When she woke up she told her mother about this man she had been talking to. She said he had a gray beard and boo-boos on his hands and that he told her she should call him Father. He said that she shouldn’t worry because soon she would be all better and back with her mommy. Her mother and grandmother were thinking that it must’ve been St. Padre Pio. He was already deceased but not a saint yet. They brought a picture of him and showed it to the little girl and she told them that that was the man who had been talking to her. Amazing!

Oh Father!! Every word you said had such deep meaning. Thank you for your constant and urgent reminders so that we don’t lose sight of what is truly important...working our way to Heaven by God’s instructions not man’s. You hit such a cord with me when you said that people describe modern day Christians by saying...“...stop being such a stupid, uneducated peasant...” I have to share with you that many years ago - I was living and working on the East Coast of the US. I was at a dinner party and the Bible came up in discussion. All the dinner guests were in agreement that it was nothing more than a make believe “story”. I was shocked and blurted out...”I believe the ‘stories’ in the Bible are real.” Everyone stared at me...literally with their mouths open (dare I say in horror!). Suddenly everyone started talking over each other saying things like...”Mary, what are you talking about? You’re an educated woman...you can’t possibly believe that!!!” It actually got a little nasty where some people told me to stop being such a “stupid woman”. These are scary times in which we live. Yes, we need to repent and pray for the conversion of so many. Thank you SO much for all you do!! You are such an inspiration to SO many of us!! Love and God Bless, Mary🙏🏻

This DOES seem to be such a widespread misconception, even among people who we would consider reasonable or intelligent. I've heard the same thing, alas. But then again, if you had a few generations ago in your family a peasant who spent all day long tending to his cows who was a staunch believer, some will think you too, even though you may have a master's degree (or a higher qualification), that you MUST have the same reasons to believe and the same conception of God and religion as this ancestor of yours.

I was baptized Catholic soon after birth and lived my religion the best that I could, not to say I was near perfect, however,I noticed that priests over the past 30 years have almost lost that fire. This video is what people need to see. They have become lazy in all things and don't care because of seeing others LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL to become powerful claiming to be Catholic while they vote to kill babies that God chose to send to earth. How many amazing religious leaders, saints and others have been killed before they had a chance to draw their first breath. Thank God you are here to teach and show us the way,to relight the fire in our hearts and souls. What a wonderful gift. God bless you. With love and respect, From Texas.

It is a characteristic of any decaying civilization that the great masses of the people are unconscious of the tragedy. Humanity in a crisis is generally insensitive to the gravity of the times in which it lives. Men do not want to believe their own times are wicked, partly because it involves too much self-accusation and principally because they have no standards outside of themselves by which to measure their times. - Fulton Sheen

Wow! Father, I wish I could put you behind every pulpit in every church! We get fed pablum- everyone will go to heaven- just be “nice” and it’s not true! I look to you and a handful of good priests for truth! Thank you! I believe The Holy Spirit was speaking through you. 🙏

Thank you, Father Mark! I don't believe I've ever seen you this upset, and understandably so; we need more priests giving passionate, faith-filled homilies and being authentic witnesses to the Truth, the unchanging Word of God! Continued prayers for you and all of our clergy. God bless!
