Not bad I will definitely try this out! I still like building under the Elder spawn. After its dug out use a portal to get in and raise the ground to close it off outside, makes a nice max comfort portal area. Raidproof too

The gjall event only occurs in the Mistlands if you base there I believe, so the only real threat would be the drakes which is hardly a problem. That and bats in the "You stirred the cauldron" event are similar flying enemies, but are so pathetic that they are only a threat to defenceless livestock such as boars. An unlikely prospect so high in the sky.

Quick tip for an easy chicken farm: build a base at the elder spawn. The fire in the middle is considered a heat source so you could put the chickens under the platform (or do what I did and form a pen out of the natural square slope around the fire) and never have to worry about providing warmth. I, however, am starting to get annoyed by the constant greydwarf attacks and will probably move to the sealed tower (plus I love the plains).

such a shame we can't build in it , curently standing at one and was immediatly thinking oh wow this would be a great base , then checking youtube if someone already did it , then to see we can't build inside :(

You can download mod to be able to build anywhere. I made many bases inside dungeons or even in this tower. I think bases inside dungeons are the best since you dont need to be worried about walls and roofs. I have one video on my channel where i have base inside frost cave. You can check that out.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't like the way the tower base was implemented. There is no modifier to be able to build in it or in caves without mods. I understand having it indestructible to force the player into climbing it, but its a decision that requires compromises that take away from the immersion IMO.

did you know that once you kill moder they none of these raids can happen in plains so your safe on the tower

Do the yall and seekers hit meadow bases? I'm hoping they don't change this tower building mechanic. I want to build a base on this new tower. It will be fun. Now to wait for it to drop on public servers. Im not patient lol

Lol, yeh they do so long as you’ve beaten the right bosses. Also I don’t see them patching this as it’s actually how you’re meant to climb inside as far as I can tell anyway. We’ll see.

I really don't want to turn off raids but I dont want my nice houses destroyed 😕. I have the torches inside the wooden poles and a lox and wolf army...like maybe 50 lox around my base but yall and seekers will wipe those out.:( I need a rabbit army from the mistlands to fight the mistland raids lol

@@user-qt8yo7gs7iyou can place crafting benches everywhere and it would deny enemy spawns, but only really effective on island spawns

I thought the Gjall raid only affects bases in the Plains or Mistlands biome, but the Valheim wiki says just Mistlands now? (maybe they changed it). Seeker raids (according to the Wiki) can happen anywhere except Meadows, Mountains and Swamps. Im my opinion though, the worst raids are the Hildir related ones. Not only can they happen in Meadows, but they include the mini-boss and a load of one-star enemies. One-star Fenrings or Fuling berzerkers pack a hell of a punch!
