I believe the roles have actually been reversed in the past, Rhett being the contestant and Link being the host. Not that I can immediately come up with specific episodes where that has been the case, haha. However, I remember them talking about this on an Ear Biscuit once. They mentioned how they've found that the chemistry and dynamic between them in these games are better when Rhett is hosting and Link is playing. It's more entertaining that way usually, according to them. I wouldn't mind Link hosting and Rhett playing either, though.

@@soapylather1 They have a display in front of them that shows them the pictures of the items but the people controlling it didn't put the doll picture up immediately when Link said "This Doll..." (as if presenting it on a TV show) so he kept repeating it until they finally put it on the display so R&L could see it. Hopefully that makes sense.

Ed McMahon was never a spokesperson for Publishers Clearing House. He worked for a rival company called American Family Publishers, while PCH winners have always been notified by their popular Prize Patrol. Perfect example of The Mandela Effect.
