Absolutely worth it!!!!! This is MY STAPLE! I use this and the leave in consistently it never fails me. I don’t use anything else and it’s been over two years now and the effects on my hair don’t change 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I never thought my wavy hair would love something called "Kinky Curly" but oh man it does. This custard is better than most hard hold gels I try. Easily the best styler I've ever tried.

This gel is my one and done. The only gel. 4 years later and it’s still unmatched considering how clean the ingredients are and how good. The knot today is awesome. It’s the best detangler ive used. Needs some water though. It has marshmallow roots. It’s amazing

I have been using Kinky Curly when it first came out and you could barely find it. I would buy the 16oz jars two at a time because they were so hard to come by. I still use Kinkly Curly because I love my results. People ask why I still use it, because my hair loves it. I love the knot today. I use it as a detangler and a leave in. I get the best shine and I love the hold. I keep the crunch so freshing my hair is easier in the week. Love your results.

I love that free glycerin gel. It makes my curls beautiful and last a bit longer than other gels. Oh and I do love the spiralicious styling gel from Jessicurl and it is also free glycerin. I notice that my curls hold better with the use of free glycerin products

In my opinion, UFD is better. More moisture than Kinky curly, as well as hold. Love it!

OMG Yes! I'm type 4 also. I've been using UFD curly magic for 2 years now. The only styler I need for my wash and go's. Great hold that last for a week, but soft coils.

@@rachelm.3173 I completely agree! I tried to switch it up to a stronger gel but I realized my curls don’t like/need them. Plus if my hair is properly moisturized it already will have definition underneath

This gel is one of my favorites! I have to finger coil to have definition through the week instead of being a fluff ball🤣. This gel gives me great definition and retains more length than other gels. Right now I've been pairing it with Melanin leave in and cream. Perfection 😍

Kinky Curly can be tricky. It’s best to not over-scrunch your hair on day 1 or it will get too fluffy in the coming days. That has been my experience anyways. When you pair it with Knot Today, there’s a weird reaction that has a moment of not feeling slippery at all...keep adding a bit more gel to get past that weirdness and you’ll get a great application and results! ❤️

Yesss that’s why i stopped using it because the leave in along feels smooth , then when you add the gel it doesnt . But nice to know i just need to add more gel ,will def give it a try since i have it just sitting in my drawer lol

I live for this product. I have 3a-3c hair yet I have fine hair so it doesnt weight my hair down at all. Between this product and Camille Rose Curlmaker these are the on the top 5 styler gels and I do make flax seed gel as well. But if you get lazy these 2 products give Excellent results. Thanks Renee for doing the vid . And re try their leave in I LOVE it!!

When I first really learned how to do wash and gos, this product and the matching leave-in helped me. Now it's Uncle Funky's daughter's Curling Magic Curl Stimulator. Works just the way I like it every time with less work and it is cheaper for more product.

I used this years ago and wasn't crazy about the results, but that was early on in my transition. I know a lot more now about my hair, so I might give it another try. Your results are awesome.

I am convinced she just has a prefect hair type that makes it easier to style -- it looks great on her. I tried this product years ago and never once it turned out like her hair lol

If you have a different curl pattern from her and different type of hair, it definitely will not look like her hair. I have 3b-c coarse, high density low porosity hair and I don’t expect my hair to look like hers because even with having similar stats everyone’s hair is different and responds differently to ingredients depending on climate what other products you are using and so many other factors.

YES! Love this gel! I actually like to scrunch it in after applying homemade flaxseed gel for some extra hold and definition.

@@dennissems I add 1/4 cup of whole flax seeds to 2 cups of water and bring to a low boil over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the gel thickens to the consistency I desire (thick, yet runny). Then you strain out the seeds with cheesecloth (or a pair of pantyhose will do the trick!).

@@alyssahitzges4266 I strain mine through a mesh strainer while it's still hot, then let it cool in my Mason jar. That way you don't have to bother with squeezing it through pantyhose or cheesecloth.

I have thicker hair than Bianca, and my curls love this! It works great for sectioning and applying only one product. I do prefer the tres luxe hi definition gel over this, because I love the smell and it gives me more definition throughout the week. But this is an old go-to!

I bought this when I moved to Houston about 7 years ago, tried it 1 time and this custard mixed with whatever leave in I applied in my hair just did not mix and it made those little white chunks. Now with more knowledge I realize that it was the leave in that I didn't like. I didn't want to throw away the kinky curly custard because I was soooo poor back then and felt like I spent so much money on it so it's just been sitting in my cabinet for years. I recently tried it again a few months ago and absolutely LOVED it! It is one of my go to gels!

Love it, added bonus it doesn't contain coconut oil or glycerine so the moisture doesn't get pulled out of my curls with our warm, windy weather.

Haven't tried this product but I find using an oil during scrunching helps break the cast for me. I like using the tresemme keratin smooth with merula oil shine serum. Love the smell of that!

I love that gel and discovered it while living in St Louis. However, i live in Puerto Rico now and it is $20.99 at Walgreens and Sally’s. I restorted to the garnier curl treat jelly instead because it’s much cheaper.

This is the first product I used when I went natural a about 15 years ago. Loved it. I always was one to cocktail this with argon oil and a leave-in. Never was disappointed. Beautiful results.

It’s my tried and true! I don’t even bother trying other gels anymore. I have used it since I have been natural 7 years now! N no matter how many times I tried to leave n go to another gel nothing come through like my knot today n KCC. Love love love!! U r super later to the party! But welcome!!

Today is wash day n I saw this video after I styled my hair n was so excited that u tried it!! I will try other hair care when it comes to washing. But it’s knot today n KCC for me when it comes to my wash n goes!! I have gotten 7 days no refresh!

I have not tried the Kinky Curly Curling Custard yet, I plan to when I come out of "time out" May 1st. I put myself there when I purchased hair products I definitely did not need last month. I 1st tried the leave-in detangler when I was transitioning. I used it once and took it back to Target's for a refund. Now that I am fully natural now, I decided to try it again, it works great, but the downside is that the consistency is too thick to be in a bottle. As always your hair it beautiful. You have very healthy hair, Bianca! They way you "mess" with your hair while diffusing, crunch with hands and NO FRIZZ? So lucky!! I've tried it and love it! The leave-in is so good it weighs my hair down, So I use a lighter one. My hair type is different from yours but it NEEDS a good hold.

I do have it and love the few ingredients. However I clearly had no knowledge on how to use it. your curls are fire after that. Thanks. I also have the leave in and love love it. I also use the clarifying shampoo when my hair is just crusty.

I picked this up a couple of haircuts ago. My hairdresser recommended it. Haven’t used it much because I didn’t like the results I was getting initially. After this tutorial, I’m totally going to give it another try! DIFFUSE!!!

My all time favorite gel. I keep trying others, but keep going back. The Knot Today leave in is just ok, and I don't use it. I pare the gel with leave ins that have a higher oil content so that I don't have the cast.

I have been using this gel for many, many years and always return to KCCC. It never fails. And I use the KCKT as the liquid/leave-in in the LOC method.

This by far has been my favorite gel on the market, for years. I love this stuff. However, hate the price. I only use it for special occasions. It makes my curl look awesome!!

That's not medium sections😭and the gel has slip because it's natural and ur not supposed to scrunch the crunch becuz ur hair will get frizzy because u broke the cast. The cast is supposed to be there for your hair so it can hold it's pattern

Its worth it i have 3c hair !!!! And I love thissssss i pair it with their leave in / detangler . Its humectant free and I love it my hair doesn’t get frizzy in the gym
