Yeah they all max out 1.5 smash factor. All they can do is design to be more forgiving, get closer to 1.5 smash even on off center strikes, and get you to swing faster. But if you hit two drivers perfectly and get two 1.5 smash factors you gonna get the same ball speed if the swing speed is the same.

What do you mean by maxed out? Manufacturers are still finding new tech to decrease spin, increase forgiveness and maintain consistency as the drivers wear. And CT is not the same as COR. Did you know that? Since CT is not the same as COR, that means CT can be used to further performance.

Although distance is same as the old but seems very forgiving. Even toe strikes produce excellent results

I've always liked the look of the Titleist drivers and this new one is no exception. I'll be sticking with my Cobra for now....still look forward to hitting it any chance I get. I noticed you had a Ventus shaft in the Titleist....excellent shaft for sure. Great review.

Great looking drivers and fairway woods Titleist makes. Never owned any because I’ve never got on with them very well but I keep testing them at my local retailer.

Hey Matt. I've seen a couple of creators test these drivers and they found the same thing you did. These drivers seem to be very forgiving...which is MUCH MORE important to most of us than 10-15 more yards.

I love my Cobra King F9 and love its looks, sound, forgiveness and performance. Idk if the line of any brand is worth dropping $450 for 3 to 5 yards.

Not knocking Titleist, but Callaway introduced VFT in their woods in 2000. Looks like every UK KZfaq golf channel was at Woburn in the last 3 weeks, you could have had a proper longest drive contest!

Not worth the bumped up price tag of $800 plus taxes here in Canada. If it gave 10 or 15 yards more distance over the TSI2 Some people may shell out the bucks. Why not do I had to head with the exact same loft and shaft on a TSI2 versus the TSR2? And do a comparison to some of the other brands of their new drivers when they come in and see how it stacks up against them. And maybe compare to some other past drivers of other brands . For the money it’s just a whole pile of hype not all that great. Great video always enjoy yours very much, keep up the testing I can’t wait to see some of the results against other clubs.

Hi Matt, why would you change if the difference is only 3 yards total distance and you are satisfied with the Cobra...? And even when you were at this moment looking for a new driver why choose the Titleist if the Cobra performs just as good and at a lower price point.....?

What loft were playing in that tsr2, Matt? With my height and back problems, I’m not a particularly fast swinger of the golf club. With that said, I use an 8 degree driver, stiff flex and wonder if more loft would gain me distance or only if the ball spin was too low, then the added loft would benefit me? Correct me if I’m wrong. I had a tsi3 but it got stolen so I’m looking at the tsR3 to replace it. I would just like your thoughts on if I should continue with the lower lofted driver or if I’m leaving distance on the table by not utilizing a higher loft. How about a tsR3 or 4 vs, stealth 2 competition? You’ve become quite the damn good driver with some very impressive distance. I’d like to see you take those two champs out for a spin. Cheers mate.

So basically it goes the exact same distance give a yard or two as the cobra,callaway,taylor made, they are all virtually identical

Nice review and pretty consistent with other on the TSR just being meh driver. It's better than the older drivers, but not better than TM or Cally.

Distance whilst good is not always essential. Pity Titleist now can’t make them look quite as sexy as that Cobra colour scheme, then it might satisfy the new golf toy in all of us. 👍🏼

I really think for an average golfer say HCP 15-16, the difference in new to say a model 3-5 years old is not even noticeable.. well not in my hands anyway. 😂😂

Brand new TSi drivers are now selling at pro shops for $250. For virtually the same performance… it’s a no brainer….. if you have one at all !

I dunno. Where does it stop? Variable thickness faces to allow a golfer to mishit it directly straight with little loss of distance? Can just imagine what clubs will be like 30 years from now. You may not even have to swing them!

I don't get this idea that good players used the 3 and mid/high handicappers use the 2... didn't spieth use the 915d2 when he won the open? Why do people think you pick a club by your handicap? You should use the clubs you get the best results with whatever your handicap.

Brands usually let the reviewers come out and test the equipment ahead of launch but have an embargo on when they are allowed to release their videos. Today is likely the first day the embargo was lifted and they were allowed to post their reviews

Seen a few videos with these in the last day or so, multiple people hitting brand new heads and all look very scratched and scuffed up after a short session. These are also good golfers less prone to bad swings than us normies. I would hate to spend that much money and have a club look like it’s been through a whole golf season after one round. Maybe looks worse than it is due to gloss black everywhere 🤷‍♂️

Can't understand why all golf channels do these reviews yes great technology, great looking club , cost a bloody fortune and does it take the skill out of the game with all gimmicks not sure if we need this commercial crap matt 🤔
