when rick did 5 generation driver testing i think the only company that improved from model to model was titleist - so while these might not be out of this world i respect the fact they do improve no matter how small and are not brining our new gear every 6 weeks

Cobra did also. He did Cobra f9, then Cobra Speedzone, then Cobra LTDX and each step up he would gain 5 yards or so on average carry distance. F9 was around 285, SZ was around 290-300, and the LTDX was 300 - 307 I think was his longest with it

Rick- a couple years ago I purchased a TS1 after being fitted by the assistant pro at my home club. I absolutely love it. I need a forgiving driver as I am a high handicap golfer (25) with a slower swing. It only carries about 160-180 yards, 200 yards if I really hit it well, but much straighter. With watching your videos on hitting a driver, I have improved a lot this summer. Keep up the good work. Jim

Just came back from a fitting. Great experience. Tried all the new drivers and the TSi2 came out on top for me. Did not expect it at all especially against the g425, Rogue Max Cobra LTD and Stealth. It makes such a big impact on confidence.
@cheemomugdoo7992 жыл бұрын
Me too, but it was the TSi3 for me. I had been using a 913 for years, and it was just too spinney. The fitter was a bit perplexed as to why since my swing is pretty neutral, but of all the drivers we tried (Mizuno, Callaway, Cobra, Ping, Titleist) it was the best. The Ping was close, and more forgiving, but on the best swings the Titleist was the winner. Of course the TSR's will be out soon, but from this video I bet they will be very close in performance to the TSi series.

I had done quite a bit of reading before I went for a fitting today. I had figured I would leave with the G425, but came home with the TSi2. In all I was fitted for: Rouge, G425, TSi2, and Stealth. The Titleist was far and away the most consistent for me and second only in distance to the Stealth. Hard to explain why Tommy Fleetwood and other tour pros who are not contracted to a specific brand have out thin in their bag in and removed the TaylorMade Sim driver. 🤷🏻♂️ The TSi3 was the most popular driver at this years US OPEN. Go have a look at the TXG review.

The TXG club reviews are great. There are a lot of tour pros (not contracted) that put a TSi driver in their bag for a reason. The review from Rick was a let down...I don’t believe that he was even fitted for the drivers. I'm opposite I've been through several since 905, just got TSi4 which I never thought would be for me and it's amazing still have that explosive feeling of the face. 2016 M2 was only thing close but not as easy to hit.

I have always liked Titleist equipment, I am sure there are longer drivers but love the dependability of their stuff. I still like seeing the reviews of other equipment, great video as always.

Great vid! Could you do a specific test to try to quantify the impact of the moveable weight ? I always wondered if this kind of features was more than a marketing gimmick... Keep up the amazing work, you just pushed me to go back on the course after a 8 years break !💪

@@Peter-ff1tp There's something to be said for seeing the numbers with different settings and shafts. Guys are dropping the consensus longest drivers of 2020 for it.

@@Peter-ff1tp That's a bit harsh to say about someone who has amassed the number of subscribers that he has. Especially in the golf space. He's been a grinder and has done some really good work. So I will be specific in my criticism. I disagree with his take about this line of drivers. I don't think it's fair to make the statement he did based on such a small sample size. I would almost guarantee that he could get better numbers with some shifting of weight and a shaft change. Is it possible that he is taking the contrarian stance when everyone else so far is raving about it? Of course it is. I wouldn't be surprised to see a "Revisit" video in the future when the TSi3 is being considered the "Driver of the Year"

Great in depth analysis of these Drivers Rick. I really appreciate your honesty and comments. The hype and blurb of these Drivers don't really do it for me. You need to test and see what the results are like. That's the test! Well done and thanks once again. Cheers Serg

Good honest feedback as always, shows it's not worth wasting money on latest clubs that don't reward with big enough results, there are not any bad clubs from the big brands so best to get fitted to the clubs that suit and give best results overall.
@francissssss3 жыл бұрын
Rick - You can’t possibly expect the TSI2 to carry a decent distance when your spin rate is 2800... you’re not giving these clubs a fair shake and it’s not an accurate narrative... especially when you are catering to golfers that aren’t gear heads.
@robroninja3 жыл бұрын
I just said the same thing! Not to mention TSi2 is for players who need more spin to carry the ball longer, Rick is definitely a TSi3 player. Clearly he was not correctly fitted for these drivers
@lookkool3 жыл бұрын
Completely agree with you. The reviews by Rick and Peter Finch were a joke...the launch and spin rates were not optimized. The TXG reviews are the most accurate with Ian being a master fitter.
